players.dbf editing problem

Postby joe man on Fri Jul 30, 2004 10:54 am

ok im tryin to update my rosters a little by editing the players.dbf file with DB Commander. When i was trying to do the Shaq trade, i changed Shaq's team number to 13 (Miami) and Odom, Butler and Grants team numbers to 11 (Lakers). Thats all I did, then when i open up the game in my dynasty mode the rosters look like this:

I did edit the players.dbf in my dynasty save

anyone kno whats wrong?

When you change the player's TEAM attribute, you must also change their ROSTERPOS, otherwise two or more players will share the same roster position on a team which causes the error you are experiencing.

Make sure that you close DB Commander once you're finished editing the file.
