Hi!

First of all, to all hosts: I would like to put my patch somewhere (1,29MB), and I need your help! If somebody would like to put my patch on his site, please write a comment, so that I can release my Complete Sock Update.

I fought a long time with it, but I finally made it. I thought the length of EA's socks doesn't look well, because the difference from Medium Low to Medium was too big, and I wanted the players to wear a length between.

So here are some previews: Formerly, they used to look as in the right pictures, but I improved them as in the left pictures:

SHORT SOCKS:



MEDIUM LOW SOCKS:

HIGH SOCKS:



So that's what I made:

1. Changed the sock length for all white and black socks because of EA's insufficient variety (as shown, EA's Short Socks only differ minor from EA's Medium Low Socks)
2. Removed EA's sock's lightness, so that they don't shine fully white or look just weakly black (dark grey) and look like real socks
3. Suited the sock's lightness to the lightness of patched shoes (means e.g. Dahl's, Steve's, where the shoes are darker than EA's) so that they don't differ in the white and black color (in the previews the lightness of the socks might look weird and too dark, but I thought a long time about it and got the right one)
4. Fixed color hues of Retro Socks so that they suite to almost every Retro Jersey perfectly, as well as by the lightness (they are NOT displayed with new colors in the NBA Store, just when you play a game or edit a player the new colors are visible)
5. Sharpened sock textures so that the textures are visible ingame

That you supported me! You were it to tell me about NFSHTool. And I wouldn't do this patch because I forgot about NFSHTool!

And how do I make it lower?

Why? EA's short socks are just invisible! I think, my new short socks look like real ankle socks. And nobody wears lower socks in the NBA than my new short socks (exception: Slam Dunk 2004 - Chris Andersen).

Sure, but I didn't post the pick, because the high sock's preview shows them almost! I updated EVERY SINGLE SOCK!

Man, I just saw your Picture Portrait Update and your TNT Art Update on your new site! Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ! Man, your patches are more than just "best ever"!

But how did you make the background of the portraits and the background of the TNT dorna transparent? I've been fighting with this problem for some months now!:

Although my questions is, how I think, easily understandable, here it is again: Your patching skills are amazing and you updated many art files. That's what I want to do, as well. But when I change all the ten dorna files, only the Speedstick will be shown.

The problem is thus: When I want to change the Speedstick dorna, I just insert a new dorna and leave the black fields black. But ingame, these black fields are displayed. But what's to be displayed is the seasondorna, just the second dorna is the Speedstick.

So I have NOT to leave the fields black, but do them transparent, so that they aren't shown ingame. Just the colored part of dornaspeedstick.fsh (the dorna itself) should be shown. The other dornas are from dornaseason.fsh. So how did you do the black fields transparent?

The same thing you did for your Player Portraits. If I insert a picture with a photo from some player, and paint the background of that picture e.g. yellow, the yellow color will be shown ingame. But it shouldn't show anything, just some other background from EA Sports. Means, the background of that picture has to be transparent.

Or didn't you do the Player Portraits and the TNT dorna? Pleeeeeeeeeeeez help me!

I forgot that I have to write a readme, right? The readme is necessary, and, of course, I will include you considering the credits!

And there isn't any xxxx-a.bmp file when I extract e.g. dornaspeedstick. It's only with dornas from stadium files!

OK, there aren't any xxxx-a files for dornaseason, dornaspeedstick, etc. But I added them and Speedstick and Season work together properly. So thank you very much, again, Chetto !

But how do I get them work with the dorna files from the team's stadiums (e.g. "odrn" in atstd.fsh)? Which parts do I have to do white and which black? And the same for the dornas from xstadium.viv: Which parts are white, and which black? I want, as I said, the team's dorna files work together with the dorna files from xstadium.viv. So that the order is: The team's dorna, the Speedstick dorna, the third dorna from "dornaseason.fsh" and the fourth dorna from "dornaseason.fsh". So I just need to fix this problem.
