How do I play online?

Postby champishere on Thu Jul 01, 2004 10:45 pm

I'd like to play online but I can't seem to register. This is what I've clicked:

* Play Online

* EA Sports Online

* Join Now

* I need to create a new EA SPORTS account

* (I filled out the form)

* Enter Game Reg Code

* (I entered the code)

* Then I get the following message:

"We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later. If the problem persists, contact customer support."

I've gone through the process 5 times and each time I get the same result.

You might have to pay unless you can directly connect.

EA sports. Direct connecting only lets you choose who you want to play against, and you have to have that persons IP address.

Does anyone know if I can get into the EA Sports Online? What can I do? Is there anyone out there who uses NBA Live 2004 but doesn't play online? Maybe I can use someone's registration code if they don't use it?

Is there any way I can play online at EA Sports without buying ANOTHER copy of this game?

you game should have come with a white plastic card in the box, that has your EA sports online gametime card, that provides you with 1 year of free access for your game to EA online. every EA sports game comes with one. my copy of MVP baseball 2004 didn't come with one, so i called EA (it's long distance, no 1800 number) and they set me up with a number.

hope i've been of help...i am on EA online constantly, so i do know alot about it. let me know if you need any more help.

yeah so just give EA a call (the phone number is in the installation guide that came in the box, i believe), and tell them what happened (that you didn't get your free gametime card in your box). if they tell you "that's just too bad" that's bullshit--they gave me my time just fine. hassle them until they activate nba live 2004 for play on EA sports online for you. it's worth it---EA sports online is a great community, unfortunately there are alot of cheaters, but you'll learn pretty soon how to spot them.
