My game has started to crash while the little orange basketball is doing it's thing while loading up a game. I was fine with no crashes after turning on customart, and I was fine with no crashes after installing some cyberfaces. However, I have edited some players through the dbf files, and now I have the problem. First off, I edited just the player.dbf file in the main NBA Live 2004 folder, but then I realized that was the wrong one when I tried to play the with one of my edited guys, and his stats weren't changed, because I edited the wrong roster file. I had the problem though when I tried to load a practice then. I thought I maybe needed to edit all the player.dbf files, so I went through and did that, but it still crashes. This is exactly what happens: While loading, I hear that error noise, and the load bar stops going around. I hit alt-tab, and there is a CODEBASE ERROR. In the little window it says this:
Error #: -70
Error #: 91102
Reading File
dfile4...()
TEAMS
It also has a little NBA Live Logo in it, and an OK button. Now, here is the somewhat strange part. When I am loading practice, I can click OK, and go back to the game, and it will continue loading, and allow me to play practice. However, as soon as I hit escape, or try to go to the menu the game crashes to the desktop. I also have tried playing One on One, and it does the same thing, only when I click OK, the game just crashes and does not continue loading. Now, because this started happening after I did some editing, I think it pretty obvious it has something to do with that. I'm wondering if there is something I did wrong or if there is some certain thing I forgot to do. All I did was go into the player.dbf files and up the stats for a few players and stuff like that. I didn't mess with anything important, and I used player.dbf editing tutorial on this site as a guide. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
