CPU adjusted shot frequency

Postby DLirag on Thu May 20, 2004 2:48 pm

Does it help the CPU's offense to take as many adjusted shots as it does?

When the slider is at a lower setting, the CPU will attempt fewer adjusted shots; the CPU players will just try to power it up, only adjusting if your defense really forces them to.

Does that tend to improve its offense or is there an opposite effect?

It just means how many times they will adjust their layups/dunks when you get in the way. For example if you put it at 100 they will adjust their shot almost everytime right before you collide into them.

My hunch is that lowering the Adj. Shot Freq. will make the CPU more sensible with its shooting style, thus improving its offense. Would this be correct?

Possibly, though if it's too low they'll probably miss more shots as they try to force some layups that will just get blocked or miss badly. I really couldn't say for sure, I've left that slider at 50.

since when I'm playing the shot gets adjusted automatically on any contact (yes I've tried a lot of sliders, doesn't help) I adjusted it so the cpu has to shoot a lot of them too in an effort to even the playing field. I've got it at 65 or 70.
