90's All-Stars vs 80's All-Stars

Postby James_1 on Fri Apr 30, 2004 2:42 pm

This is my longest ever match Ive played on any NBA Live. It was an intresting game, and kept the stats. I played 10 minute quarters on Superstar Mode.

Matchups - 90's to 80's
C: Shaquille O'Neal - Moses Malone
PF: Shawn Kemp - Larry Bird
SF: Scottie Pippen - Julis Erving
SG: Michael Jordan - Clyde Drexler
PG: Gary Payton - Magic Johnson

Michael started off slow missing his first couple of shots. Unbeleiveable, he was dragged and replaced by Reggie Miller. For the first quarter, the 80's AS domiated everything and everywere. Magic Johnson was on fire and was dising out assists all over and Larry Bird was dominating out at the arc. Michael was substituted back on along with John Stockton. MJ went for 18 points in the 2nd quarter and finished the game with 42. John handed out 16 assists and Shaq was unstoppable under the ring.

Final Score: 90's 139 - 133 80's
90's AS Stats
Michael Jordan: 42 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks
Shaquille O'Neal: 28 points, 22 rebounds, 9 blocks
Shawn Kemp: 24 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks
Scottie Pippen: 20 points, 4 rebounds
John Stockton: 13 points, 16 assists, 4 rebounds

80's AS Stats
Clyde Drexler: 40 points, 3 rebounds
Magic Johnson: 27 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds
Moses Malone: 22 points, 12 rebounds
Larry Bird: 18 points, 14 rebounds
Julis Ervin: 17 points, 4 rebounds

What team were u controllin?

Me and my old roomate alllllways play this matchup. I always control the 80s, because Magic is my favorite player of all time, and his is Jordan. I only hate it because Magic doesn't drop no look passes and all.

i've had some really fun games with the insertDECADE AS teams...fun playing against each other.

Why did you play Kemp and Payton instead of Stockton and Malone.
