Radeon 9600 Graphics Issue (Game Freeze), Please Help!

Hello all,
I have looked over other threads and I am still a bit confused about my situation. I have an ATI Radeon 9600 and play Live 2004. I have only attempted to play 3 entire games on Live 2004. The first game I played all the way through with no problem. On games 2 and 3, however, every time I get to the 4th quarter with about 4 minutes to play in the game the game completely freezes on me. Once the monitor went into what appeared to be standby mode (although I don't have standby enabled or hibernation) and wouldn't respond. The second time the display just froze and I could do anything. The only way I can get out of this is to restart my machine.
Can anyone please let me know what I can do to correct this? This problem only happens with this game. I have MVP 2004 and Madden 2004 and no problems there.
