Well, get a program like DB Commander, install it and all, open up your Players.dbf files in your saves and edit the players you want to edit on whatever team you want to edit.

Here is the link to things you can change etc.

Players.dbf Editing.

Browse the resources on the site, you'll get far.

Are you trying to overwrite the original ones?

If not, I don't know.

Anyways, give it a shot with DB Commander, it should work if you're doing it properly with DB Commander.

(Oh, you are loading the overwritten file when you're in the game, right?...thus, you must load the roster in which the overwritten file is.)

Jeez, this would help if I had NBA Live 2004 for PC.

Anyways, I think I might have a solution. Add me at Psycho_Jackal@hotmail.com on MSN.

When editing roster files, it's always better to save the roster and the edit the DBF files in the appropriate save slot folder. This way you can ensure that you're editing the correct file, and easily load up the changes.

äh! Forget about DBcommander, Excel is enough and works perfect for that kinda of editing.

no its not, it causes tons of errors in game...if i were to use excel for my roster editing the game probably wouldnt even load lol. euroleague used excel and ended up witha ton of bugs i heard (not stuff wrong iwth the dbf, but simply because of excel), they worked most of em out, but thats what happens.....

I have used Excel for easy editing, like changing bodycolor, headband, hair an name (once) and it have never crashed or fucked up in another way for me.

It depends which version of Excel you are using, though. Earlier versions of Excel (notably Excel 97) often corrupted DBF files. The newer versions of Excel don't seem to have that problem. I still prefer to use DB Commander, but it is possible to use Excel without causing any crashes.
