Tutorial: New ShoeStore shoes

Postby Andreas Dahl on Sun Mar 21, 2004 9:50 pm

Ok, as you may have noticed, I've joined the NLSC Team, and I said I'd make some turorials, and so it has begun...

I decided to write this a while ago when talking to Yohance on MSN and he was asking me to teach him...
I took a little time to write it (I'm lazy), but here it is

Tutorial Part1.pdf
Tutorial Part2.pdf

Any questions or something like that, feel free to ask...

So,I am a bit confused after reading this.
Is it possible to give a ahoe to the player which he will wear in a game?
If not, than it's too much fuss, only to see a shoe in a store.

No, not realy... Not that way
As I said:
I should also note that it is not possible (yet) to completely ad shoes to the game so it becomes like a regular shoe... It works to ad
the graphic files, but not to the game itself. Like we did now in the second step, we told the game to have another shoe in the
Shoe Store. But that doesn’t work when adding to the game files. These are no .dbf files for that. They seem to be inside a data
file, that we can only view and change the exact lettering in, but not add or delete stuff in. That’s the reason we can’t completely
ad shoes to the game...
I never said it was a big deal... It's just a tutorial.

I wrote it because people asked me to a while ago
and when Thug asked me I decided to make it...

So the only way to put the shoes in the game is to copy .fsh file into /xplayer/... folder?

I was talking a little with UltraNIX and he told me that I should make ya'll know that what I wrote about Excell being a good program; he feel that I should tell you that the program has a tendency of crashing...
I have never experinced it, but you might wanna be on the safe side and use Accec instead...
And remember to always back upp your files before editing them...
