Stealing people's artistic work IS serious. If you spend any time patching , the last thing you want is some punk kid stealing your work and using it without permission. It's about respect and principle. I'm aware in the big scheme of things, this may be minute. But --if this issue doesn't concern or is about YOU--I suggest you "butt out" and mind your own "serious" problems.
The whole "we don't get paid for this" argument is bullshit--just because we don't get a dollar amount for our work, it's still our work. Not everything that is important to you should be measured by $$. I don't get paid for my jerseys or the countless members that I've made cyberfaces for--but I take pride in making them. In some cases that is worth more than $.

Iverson stole, didn't give credit for part of his work--doesn't even want to acknowledge his fault and is acting like an asshole about the whole thing. Jowe has contributed a lot to this community, I feel he deserves that amount of respect.

You know, it is only a game.But I think that the majority of the people here view it as much more. I use it a stress release and an artisitc tool to express my artisitc abilities. Plus I love the NBA and basketball.

If that didn't explain it, it's about respect for each others work. Is that too hard of a concept to understand?

Jowe, Mikki, I know the guy, he's brazilian, IMO he simply didn't know the "unwritten rules"... He didn't do it on purpose... If you could take my word on it, I'd be very grateful...
