Am I the only one dying of frustration waiting for...

I don't visit these forums as frequently as I previously have (never been a big poster) but there's been one burning issue that (shoot me if it has been raised) I've just been dying to get off my chest for what seems like aeons..
Is there anyone else out there absolutely dying waiting for a time when there'll be an NBA game where we play as individual players online and participate in online leagues as teams instead of this controlling a team a la god bs.. I mean it's good but I don't think that's where the real entertainment is.. you know I've always thought games at their best let you do stuff you dream of doing.. and I have hoop dreams.. dreams of playing as an individual in a pro league.. and it seems so obvious to me that this could be done through an online game like the nba live series.. 989 are including a career mode where you play as an individual in MLB Baseball 2005 so hopefully the idea will catch on..

might be what u're talking about but its still under development. another thing is that u cant really play it like nba live but more of like a browser based rpg
u might also wana check out espn nba's 24/7 mode. but i don't think its playable online.
these are the closest things i can suggest. not exactly what u're lookin for

24/7 mode is playable online but sega fucked up by not letting u use ur character in franchise/season mode, personally i think 24/7 mode sucks and sega shouldve used the dev time spent on that to make minor tweaks to the actual game and improve online play
