I created 29 or 30 potential players for the 2004 draft...

Postby R-Tistic on Mon Feb 23, 2004 6:54 am

I created about 29-30, mainly college players, but also some foreigners, and I am going to import them into my season. My question is, is somebody down to collaborate with it? I have all the real birthdays, height, weight, colleges, and most of em look like they do in real life. But I don't know how accurate my ratings all are. So if there is anybody who would like to take what I have, modify it, and put it up as a roster patch, I am down for it.

Jameer Nelson 72
Felton, Ray 63
Josh Childress 61
Ben Gordon 59
H. Warrick 59
R. Sato 59
L. Deng 58
Iguodala 58
R. Paulding 58
Podkolzine 57
D. Harris 57
R. Gomes 57
D. Howard 56
Blake Stepp 56
D. Rice 56
C. Duhon 56
S. Telfair 54
D. Holland 54
Chiriavev 53
Perovic 53
Slokar 52
C. Garnett 52
J. Thomas 52
Lamizana 52
A. Johnson 51
Luke Jackson 50
T. Woods 50
A. Emmett 50
Seung Jin 48

As you can see, most of them are in the 50s, because I did not know how to rate most of them. I was going by the nbadraft.net board, and a lot of these players didn't have any report so I just made up somethin for them. That's why I say this needs tweaking, but the b-days, height weight and most looks are on point.

IMO, those are too high for rookie ratings... LeBron only got 69 from the start while Melo, 63

well yeah, but with update rosters Lebron and Melo sometimes even soar into the 80's (that is making ratings that accurately depict their output this season in averages.)

Not to mention the way-too-powerful generated rookies with like...the first 10 picks all being in the 80's.

Overall i'd say it's pretty fair.

You will notice some people may be lottery on NBADraft.net, but I rated em in the 50s, because they are young and they are gonna get better. And if TJ Ford was given a 56 after bein one of the top college players, 50s are pretty fair.

And true, I am judgin these ratings based to the updates that put Lebron and Melo in the 80s. I think they deserved at least 75-80 but even higher works too. But I think Okafor and Nelson are about 75 and 72 just because I don't see many weaknesses in their game. I had to balance a lot of players out because their reports showed no weaknesses, and they'd be a senior, but they'd be projected real low. So this is my first time doin somethin like this so many of the ratings will be off.

Is anybody interested?

Also, I plan to do a projected 2005 draft class, which has like 35-45 dudes in it so far but it'll be harder because it's not many reports on the net about em.

Great Idea, but you'd need to get others opinions on ratings for the players you don't know much about, to make it accurate.

Luol Deng isn't gonna be in the Draft this year.

What did you rate Jameer Nelson's passing?

Iite. Matter of fact, I think it's about 3-4 players that won't be in the draft but they are listed on NBADraft.net but I just created them anyway.

I gave Jameer a 82 in passing.

Luol might enter. It's very up in the air. He hasn't decided yet (this is coming from him and his roommate, not my speculation). Obviously, I'm hoping he holds off--I don't think he has been convincing enough this season anyway.

I can turn these into draft add ons, so that when your playing dynasty so that you can run it and the players will auto be added to the draft......if you'd like that send me the players.dbf with these players in it...

Alright, I just finished with makin 62 dudes for the 2005 draft. I will admit, I'd probably say the accuracy of my ratings are about 55% because I was just guessin on a lot of people. Ummm I will list everybody I have later on. I added a few prospects who are the top high school players from the c/o 2005, even though they probably will not be in this draft. Anybody heard of Tasmin Mitchell? Tyler Hansborough? This one has McCants, Reddick, Leon Powe, Chris Thomas, daamn near everybody who I heard about on ESPN. Also, I added about 5-6 players who probably won't make the draft, but I know them personally and they play collegiate level now so I just added them for fun, but you can delete them or whatever if you don't want them, when I put the roster up.

to lilrepole:
Hmm...that sounds good, but if you did that, wouldn't it still have the fake generated rookies that the game automatically generates, or could you make it to where the ONLY players drafted are those I create? I have 62 players so I have enough to be drafted.

I gave the 2 rosters, which in total had 94 rookies, to Nique 3011 who is going to edit some of the ratings because I know that many are off. But if anybody wants what I have so far, put your e-mail adress on here.
