importing files... HELP!

Postby vtsh090041 on Thu Feb 19, 2004 7:48 am

I'm trying to do my own player

I use photoshop 7.0.1 to do cyberface for my player

I save it as 16 bit, 24 bit, and 32 bit (.bmp file)

But none of them could sucessfully import into file (by EA Graph)

When I try to import, it shows "Stream read error"

Can anyone help me with this?

Thx a lot!

u can contact me with my e-mail: vtsh090041@hotmail.com

I've been using FSHED to import new cyberfaces. I save the files as 32 bit BMPs (Windows and RGB format). I use PSP myself, but I hope this helps you.

I find out that I can't even preview my cyberface before importing it into files, could that be a problem? Anyone knows how to solve it?

Thx~

P.S. I haven't got a chance to try FSHed...

i think ur trying to import ur cyberface directly into the xplayer.viv. extract the player specific viv first. import the cyberface. then import the player viv back to xplayer.viv

photoshop's bmps always were a problem for me... so i either save in another format like gif/jpg or use "copy merged"... paste it into paintbrush and save it

always worked for me :D

FINALLY...

Postby vtsh090041 on Sat Feb 21, 2004 7:49 am

I find a way to do it...

After I edited the cyberface, I cut it all down.

Then, I used the "create a new file" feature in EA Graph, set it as 256*256 pixels.

After then, I paste the cyberface into the new file, saved it as .bmp

And I sucessfully import it into xplayer.viv! :D

It's a little complicated, u can try if u have the same problem :P

P.S.

How to apply the cyberface to my "created" player?

instead of saving the 256x256 cyberface in the .psd or .bmp format, try saving it in the .dds format. for that, you're gonna have to download the plugin. just run a search on google for .dds photoshop plugin or summat, it shouldn't be too hard to find. :)
