thats actually a good question, i thought a lota people would wonder that, stil install it in the mian live directory in program files, there are some stuff inside the install that directs the dbf to your my documents folder, no matter where it is...

Great Stuff...but why not just make a Rucker Park patch and call it a day :wink:

...that should be your next project...because Rucker Park is the essence of streetball...bchogan did it for 2003 that was a favorite of many people...good stuff though thanx for the time and effort guys (Y)

superman made the court, but the enviorment like benches and the sourounding area is nearly impossible to make. i cetainly can't do it, as if i coudl i would, but i cant lol, superman may try to go a little further with it but i dont know. only if bchogan would just convert last years... :wink:

one thing i have been thinking about doing is making the urban court into daytime too, but we'll see...

But you could've made it a little smaller... 30mbs? A bit too much for a 4 team addon, wouldn't you say?
NBA Live Street had 40 jerseys (+30 from the legend teams, and another dozen or so for the rappers), i don't know how many cyberfaces, Rucker, and still managed to put it all to about 25mbs...

i'd definately like to check out this patch, but the size of it is just too big, considering how much you get... and to top it... it's on fileplanet, which currently is telling me your file is actually not on their servers.

He broke it up into seperate downloads.
I downloaded the full patch and it only took 7 min....................... i realize that some people have a slower connection, but the seperate parts should help.

the size is because the jerseys for the nba team to make them wear thier own team jerseys is about 15 mb. the only neccessary downloads are just 15 mb..........

and it's on file planet because i dont have anywhere else to host 30 mb......

I made a patch that added players' own prime jerseys to 5 decade allstar teams... 50 players, home/away, and i made the patch 1,5mb large (plus it had 20something cyberfaces)...

if you're including original, unedited file(s) that's already in the vivs on other people hard drives... then you don't need to include it in your own patch, utilizing eazip... just a line of text in your batch instead.

and for a big patch... 7zip or WinAce should be used for compression... not Winzip...

Im having problems with getting everything running!
1.When installing, everything is being put into a NBALIVE2004 folder inside my original NBALIVE2004 folder, is this right?
2.If it is right do i need to move the render files into the render folder in the original NBALIVE folder?
3.After installing the Roster addon is there anything else i have to do, the 000 save slot has not been altered at all?

I can see everything there in my main folder, when i run the game the outside court is also there. I have been waiting for this addon for weeks, so please tell me WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!

ps- I think a Readme file might be needed for dumb asses like my self :!:

OK, i got everything working. I dont know if there is a problem with the auto DBF updater, it refused to work for me. To get everything up and running all i did was place everything in the right folders then use the DBF files in the auto updater and imported them into a complete DBF file, these where players, teams, teamgear and location. Once done everything works PERFECT (Y)

Got a couple more questions.
1. The outside court is rendered with reflections(looks like its been raining), is this right or is it just me?
2. Again with the outside court, when at the FT line theres no indication bars to make the shots?
3. When selecting teams there are no logos, should there be?

Love the MY FAVOURITE TEAM logo, this is a great addon, i love it (Y)

You'll have to import the logos yourself for now, i plan on making a logo install fix, that's my fault. As for everything else, isntall EVERYTHING, even the RosterAddOn to the Live folder under program files.....it should work like that......

Thanks for the tip with the jerseys tony, i never even thought of that...

Also, for people having problems with the install, try reading the beggining text in the install, that may help :roll:

(especially for the people having problems with the logos, which will be fixed in the next install)

NOTE: Because there have been alot of problems with the install i've taken them down and i'm fixing as we speak. expect a rerelease in a few days, that could reduce the file size to as small as 8 mb total (woulda been but the courts were edited too much)....

it took me 672 lines in a .bat to do that, 3 lines per file (one for extracting, one for renaming, one for moving) 16 files per player, 14 players (3 x 16 x 14 = 672). lol, i probably did that the amazingly long way but o well. incase your wondering heres what one jersey looked like...

1. Where should I install the mod, it just says that "select which folder where you want it installed to" Does that mean that I can install where ever I want, dosen't make sense

look, all i know is that the install works for me, the art is all placed in the correct place when i run it, and so is the roster(no matter where ur my documents folder is i included a program which auto directs it there). the roster should be added on to your 000 save slot....

also it shoulndt say select what folder to install to, the main nba live directory (for most people, some may have to change it) should already be filled in.....

btw what windows do u use, xp or what? maybe thats a problem with the roster...

ROSTER PROBLEM FIXED: hehe you didn't have a roster in the 000 slot...

NBA JERSEY PROBLEM: Semi fixed, i dont know y but when the bat moved the jersey files, it kept them in the main folder too, but the jerseys are also installed in the correct place, strange. if you have this problem too just delete the access jerseys left in your main folder.

So have no worries people, no problems with the install, just mkae sure u already have a roster in the 000 slot, and if there are tons of jerseys left behind jsut delete them.

I've play the mod several times today and yesterday and I have some things I want to release from my heart

*How about to include the boom box music, it would be cool as hell to play around with music in the background like in 1on1 and ind. practice.

*All the custom teams players (except the NBA team) has the same kinda shoes, all have all-star converse, is it suppose to be this way or is just an error that has occured? Anyway I can offcourse fix this myself but I'm just wondering.

*Is there anyway to fix the freethrow meter in the Urban courts?

*I would like to have Bens rating from his roster @ the NBA team, don't you think, cause now if i'm not wrong, you have the orginal ratings.

*I suggestion to everyone is to lower the foul freq, to get more street like play. You should recommend this in the readme.

*As well you should recommend new sound settings, like lower the arena vol. to "0" ect.

*I don't like the lineup to much, nor the positions on the players, I've set Martin to C, Harrington in the bench as Center and Lebron as starting PF ect. But that is just a mather of taste
