Cavs!

Postby ca_10 on Wed Feb 11, 2004 12:52 pm

Hi!

Been working a lot of dynasties since the game came out... but finally started 1 w/ the Cavs...

At the start I traded Z, Newble and Kedrick Brown for Rip Hamilton and Sura... then Sura and Boom-boom for Jaric... these all semmed like a realistic trade for me since Z is also a key player... and I'd like to think of it as a 3-team trade... :)

LeBron now plays SF and Rip plays SG... I'm trying to figure out who I should start at the Point...

any ideas?

speaking of trades... the real life NBA Reef-Sheed deal seemed pretty interesting...

i'd have wagner or mcinnes as starting pg. Personally i would use wagner cause i see him developing into a great star over the seasons. but you may prefer mcinnes.

Updates...

Postby ca_10 on Wed Feb 11, 2004 5:21 pm

I did a couple of trades at season start that made my roster look like this...

Starters:
C Battie
PF Boozer
SF James
SG Hamilton
PG Rod Strickland

Reserves (in no particular order):

Jaric
McInnis
Kapono
Williams
Fizer
Diop
Wagner
Rice

Well... I'm a sucker for realism so really didn't make blockbuster trades and overhaul my entire roster... other that the Z for Rip trade...

Anyways... I've played 2 games against badly depleted Kings, and Suns teams... so I won those w/ a rout... I have yet to play a complete and well oiled team such as the Mavs...

Also... I did something after playing my 2nd game w/c tuned out interesting:

Traded 3 players to Portland for Reef
Traded Reef and Jaric to LA for Payton

With this I can stop w/ the Reef trade and move Bron to PG again... or keep him at SF and go for Payton... but since a trade like this 2 games into my season really isn't realistic... maybe before trade deadline eh?

Well... still debating who to start at PG...

Cheers!

Still thinking

Postby ca_10 on Thu Feb 12, 2004 1:03 pm

Well... my season has been off to a good start... in my most recent game against the Pacers my big 3 played well... big again as ususal... though not without a price... on a drive by Boozer he was fouled hard by JO and went down... he's out for 2 weeks and I have like a LOT of games to play...

In addition, Rip is still on a tear (pun intended) scring 34 pts in that game... Bron also did a nice job w/ 20 pts, 10 assists...

I have Fizer starting now in Boozer's place... and signed Anthony Mason in the meantime (Shawn Kemp was already signed by the Nets! :x )

Starters:
C Battie
PF Fizer
SF James
SG Hamilton
PG Rod Strickland

Reserves (in no particular order):

Jaric
McInnis
Kapono
Williams
Mason
Diop
Wagner
Rice

IR Boozer

So... my rosters are still the same w/ the exception of Mason... Right now I'm thinking wether to put LeBron back at PG or not... if I do who will start at SF? any ideas guys? it would be very welcome...

And on a final note, Jaric has been underachieving!!! I want to trade him now!!!

Oh well... thanks in advance for any input!

Update:

Wagner injury - in one game Dwag got injured and has been out for the past 2 games... we won both games but sorely missed him

Signed Keith McCleod - fine dude... needed someone to back up Hot Rod...

Traded Battie, McLeod to Minnesota for Kandi Man - I think this is a pretty decent trade... I've kinda traded a lot already but w/ Wagner out and Boozer still recovering I have to make some changes...

As it stands I'm 8-0 in the season... still haven't played any big western teams... Indiana gave me some problems though... good thing JO got into foul trouble... :D

Anyways... I hope Rod Strickland makes in to the All-Star game... I always liked Strickland even in real life... He's 2nd on the team in assists at 8 a game behind LeBron's 9... :D
