Rating question Iverson, Kobe, Leandrinho

Postby KoldPhyre on Tue Feb 03, 2004 4:27 pm

What's the real dunk rating of Iverson? coz in game is shown 40 but he doesn't dunk but if I change it to 39 for example he begins to dunk!! :?

btw, about Iverson I am not sure but what about Kobe? he shouldn't have a (3) icon... :?

and "Leandrinho" Barbosa, take a look at his stats:
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/leandro_barbosa/head2head.html
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/leandro_barbosa/index.html
he must be revaluated!

thx a lot

Barbosa will definitely be re-rated in v1.04.

With a dunk rating of 39 and his default jump rating, Iverson will still be assigned a dunk package that will allow him to dunk.

thx man...
but Iverson with the originals "40" never dunks, at least with me... but in the reality he dunks sometimes... so what I must to do to preserve his lay-ups and add some dunks, coz with 39 he dunks almost everytime... :?

and what about my 2nd question?
"btw, about Iverson I am not sure but what about Kobe? he shouldn't have a (3) icon... "

thx a lot and sorry man (don't be )

Most people who layup most of the time but have the ability to dunk are rated 10. For example, Gilbert Arenas. He layups almost every time, but he will dunk if it's wide open.

I don't remember Iverson's DUNKPACK offhand, but it's probably one of the "Layups Only" packages. Readjusting the dunking rating assigns a different DUNKPACK. If need be, I can change his DUNKPACK so that he should dunk when he's open, as is the case with the real Iverson these days.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking in the second question. Are you suggesting I raise Iverson's three point rating, or lowering Kobe's?

I think he means lowering both.

I think Kobe must have a (3) Remember his 3-point record.

Sorry guys...
I were asking for a raising in the 3-point rating in both cases.
And IMO Kobe must to have the (3) icon!
Do you agree?

Here in Brasil we call the people for his first name, nickname, and sometimes both, first and second name, like Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, gaúcho is his nickname, the way we call a person who was born in a especify state... :D

Neither Iverson nor Kobe are in the top 50 for three point field goal percentage. They both shoot a fair amount, but not as well as other players in the league.

Did you all change Kobe's three point rating? I know he was a 71 on PS2, which I thought couuuld be a bit higher but wouldn't really make a big difference. True he's not a 3 point shooter as a Larry Bird or Steve Kerr, but I doubt he could ever hit 8-10 3s if he was rated low in the game.

On superstar, you might have a player with a 98 3 point rating but they still might go 0-4 in a game, and be 35-40% in the season.

I haven't changed Kobe's three point rating yet, as I was unsure as to what KoldPhyre was requesting.

I'll take a look at those ratings you've suggested, and I'll probably implement some of them. I don't know about raising Iverson and Kobe to being three point specialists, as I said before neither is in the top 50 for 3PT%. But I will still consider doing it, as they do shoot a fair amount of threes.

I know... so what should be the 3pt rating for Leandro Barbosa?
#24. Leandro Barbosa (Phoenix Suns) | 45-113 | .398

Sorry... when Kobe has broken the 3pt record (12), how much attempts he has? Anybody know?

PS.: thx Andrew u're (Y)
