I understand that part, that's why I'm questioning EA's criteria.
But who is the NBA's best shooter?
How do you judge that?
Off of reputation?
Personally, I think Peja Stojakovic, & Ray Allen are the best shooters in the NBA but in going with this FG rating:
Say there's a player like Peja who shoots for a high%, and he's in the top 5 scoring, and he shoots over 40% in 3pt's. should he have the highest FG rating?
Obviously a player like this is offensively aware.
Not necessarily the highest of offensively aware players but the primacy would naturally be there because this is a top scorer and to be a top scorer you have to take alot of shots but I still don't know what determines FG rating.
Shaq leads the NBA pretty much in FG% should he set the bar for FG rating?
With his range naturally set under 15 ft. he would shoot well close tothe basket as he should.
But still on a player like Iverson who like it was mentioned leads the NBA in scoring consistently due to lots of shots taken what should his FG rating be?
It's a wild thing how they judge certain players by one standard and then another by something else.
