Animations/Gameplay stinks - All Star game proves it

The All-Star game is always the best measure of an NBA Live game in terms of gameplay and animation. If you've got 24 top players in a 48 minute game, you're bound to get highlights.

That said, I just played West vs. East and think I got three clean dunks. On all the rest, I got hacked and the player shot the weak-@ss one hander shot. The freestyle was useless - TMac and AI couldn't blow by anybody one one one. There wasn't a single dunk from outside of 5 feet even on a fast break. I can't even do good-looking jump-shots. Duncan shot these quick release (I didn't let go of the button yet!) jump shots at the top of the key that never went in.

What bothers me the most are those chuck shots from 2 feet around the rim whenever anyone remotely breathes on my guy. Not only are they ugly, they always miss. I feel like a cheater turning up the shot rating to 100.

All in all - still disappointed after 2 months. Was hoping I'd get used to it. Now

I think your argument relating the real life All Star game and one in a video game is missing one key point: In the real life All Star game defense is at a premium. NO ONE PLAYS IT. That is why you get all of the highlight reel plays. In a video game it doesn't take into account exhibition, season, or even All Star status on a game, all players just play hard.

I'm coming up to the All-Star game in my season. I'm going to experiment with some slider tweaks to see if I can make the gameplay resemble the style of the real All-Star games. The CPU substitution slider will definitely need tweaking. Though a slider setting of 50 results in fairly realistic subs by the CPU team, the All-Star games display a different substitution pattern. I'll have to find a setting that reflects the "revolving door" subs made in the first three quarters.

Freestyle Works....If you got the PC Version then just forget Freestye Son cause it ain't in your area because on the Console i can just Break someones ankles....I can even do the Behind The Back Cross-Over Break someones Ankles and Shoot a Three just like that!

If you can't Break an Ankle...Then do a Three and Make it (Or Miss) then you got serious Problems here Son.

Exactly.
Switch to beginner mode and play sloppy D yourself. You will see lots of dunks..

Put the game on rookie mode, stop playing defense, put all defensive sliders on 0, and offensive sliders on 100. Then edit sliders from there.
