Just an idea for a Lakers franchise...

Postby R-Tistic on Tue Jan 13, 2004 3:20 pm

I am in a Cavs dynasty now, but of the 50-100 (???) seasons I have done in my NBA Live since 95 life, probably 85-90% of them have been with the Lakers. But this year, I found it waaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy, seein the Lakers have the damm all star team.

So this is the idea I have for my next dynasty, to make it a lot more challenging...seein how the Lakers year has been goin so far this year, with the main players getting injured..I am gonna make the injury ratings very low for Shaq and Malone, either make em low or just keep Fox out for a while, and make em lower for Kobe as well. Hopefully this will somewhat reflect whas been goin on with the real Lakers, and also giving me a challnge to deal with.

Has anyone tried somethin like thsi before? What injury setting will keep players out, but not for the entire season or for too long?

Hi there,

in my experience 'injury rating' affects only frequency of injuries...
the duration is random...depending on 'which part' of the body gets hurt... say knees usu takes longer (up to 20 games in my experience once) hamstring sprain a couple of games...

Actually, the Lakers are supposed to be very good (though they are having some troubles lately)

What I would do is to just play the season and dominate. This is one year which you should have fun crushing the opponents and set nba record in wins.

After winning the first championship, malone will probably retire (or have much reduced rating) and GP would also be slowed. If you want additional challenges, lose Kobe to free agency and see which direction you'd go from there with Shaq, some veterans and cap space
