1) If you use a roster patch from NLSC you can delete the install.exe and any txt file after the patch is installed. You usually can delete exe, bat or txt files left over from other patches.
2) Advanced install lets you choose the location and some options. If you have some computer knowledge use this option. If you are computer illiterate use the typical install. This installs to the 'program files' folder.
3) Custom art is used to enable many graphical updates, such as cyberfaces and courts. The files are saved in the 'render' folder and overwrite the default files. In NBA Live 2003 this was a useful and easy option to update cyberfaces. In NBA Live 2004 it may cause your PC to lock up. It also slows down loading significantly. If you don't mind the extra wait and your system can handle the added graphics, using custom art is worth it. Use the search function for more info.
