Pro-Hop meets the Pro-Stop

Postby EGarrett on Wed Dec 10, 2003 12:58 am

I've noticed a lot of people having trouble with the computers constant use of the pro-hop to force his way through all defenders. Well I found a way to control it. If the computer pro-hops into your defender...hit the Take Charge button. You won't actually get an offensive foul call (that seems impossible this year) but the Pro Hopper will be stopped in place and have to put up a midrange jump shot. So as far as I'm concerned...the Take Charge Button is now the "Pro-Stop" button. Har har har.

yea i do that too espeically online. when people use tmac, bron james, ricky, KG and alot of other superstars, i use that move and it stops them immediately. Like if they do it right around the perimeter it will stop them at the FT line.

You guys don't get charging fouls? I don't have that problem. Once, I even had Drew Gooden fouled out with 6 offensive fouls ;)

Yeah, I both give up and get a lot of offensive foul calls both against the computer and in online play. It just has to do with proper positioning and getting your defender's feet set before the offensive player gets there.

In my average game (All-Star, 5 or 6 min quarters), I'd guess that there are at least 4 or 5 offensive fouls called on each team.

When u use freestyle defence if u stand still when trying 2 steal u will get higher success rate and different animation (big swipe at the ball), but......
because ur standing still if u miss the ball the offence will blow by u.
