ineffective turbo

i've been playing live for about a week now, and i just realized that pressing turbo doesnt give me much of a boost. im pretty sure the player runs faster with turbo, but the difference is not drastic. whenever i try to fastbreak, the computer defenders always catch up to me. first, i thought my players were just slow, but now i'm beginning to think that turbo is pretty much useless. i understand that lowering the turbo effectiveness has made the game more realistic, since the players are not blowing past the defenders everytime; but maybe they lowered it too muh, perhaps?
