Does double teaming an opponent work different now?

I went into my team strategy area to try to double team Vince Carter, and where last year in NBA Live 2003 I would click double team next to Vince's name, it now had the guys from MY TEAM who are playing in the game listed with the double team options next to them, while Vince Carter and the players from the opposing team were listed on the left with no options to choose next to them. What's going on here?

Im not sure, but i think double teaming is handled in the game settings options now. pause the game, or before the game starts, and look at the game settings.

I was able to locate it, but it's just set up the opposite of how it was last year. It makes you check double team next to your own player rather then the one you want to double team. Now whether this means that your player is the one who needs help in double teaming, I don't know if that what they're meaning or if they just screwed it up and did it backwards by mistake.

the only problem i had was that i switched the defensive matchups for my team so that ron artest would guard the pg and my team stayed guarding the same players but the AI switched their matchups for his team and had his sf guarding my pg

also i know i didnt change the comps one b/c it was in dynasty and it doesn't allow you to....it has happened everytime iv'e tried to change matchups in dynasty i don't know whats wrong

I don't know what's wrong with you but it works the same wasy as last year for me.

fgrep15, I also don't like how if you change the defensive matchups the cpu alomst always changes there's too.

In my experience, it works the same as all previous Lives.
