Sock color

I tried to edit the field with the sock color i tried to put "1" "2" &"3" in that field but none of them work, i just want my players to always have white colored socks. The game automatic change the colore for tha "away" games to black. Anyone got a clue?
Also what about if i use unlocked shoes to my created players, will i be able to see them (shoes) in the game when i give my roster to a friend?

i also tried editing the 'sockcolor' field in teamgear.dbf. in previous nba lives, 0 refers to white socks and 1 means black socks. i did the same for live 2004 but it doesn't work. am i looking at the correct dbf? any ideas regarding this? thanks in advance.

i suppose that if your and your friend's plyrcmn.viv are the same, the copied roster's player.dbf will link the game to the same shoes.

Since editing the teamgear.dbf file does nothing, one way to make your team wear white socks on away games is to put your away unis on one of your team's classic home jersey. I know not everyone will prefer this method, but if you're really anal w/ socks, then this method I think solves the problem. You only need VivMagic to exract/compress the xteam.viv file
