Livers Help, Please...

I know it's not the good forum, but I need some help.

I play with my friend and he use the keyboard and I use a sidewinder.
I can't ,like in the 2003, move a joystick icon and assigned the keyboard butons on it.
It's just don't work.

What can he do to play with the Keyboard :?:
