Forced Feedback on Live 2004

Wed Nov 19, 2003 4:23 pm

Does NBA Live 2004 support forced feedback? I have a Thrustmaster Dual Power 2 gamepad, which isn't officially supported by EA, and it doesn't vibrate at all on this game. I did see in a .dbf file a Vibration header with a value of 1 so I am assuming it does support it. Has anyone experienced forced feedback with the PC version???

That's too bad. I really like the force feedback on the PS2. It adds a lot to the post play, and I miss it on the PC.

jerk_factory,

Are you sure force feedback is supported in NBA Live 2004 PS2 version? Can anybody confirm this? I hope it can support force feedback for the PC version as well.

I have WingMan rumblepad, and it doesn't vibrate either......

NO vibration in PC version for sure. Confirmed if you open up xeffects.cfg in the Live2004\main\cscripts subfolder:

// effects.cfg
//
// This file loads effects from external effect definition files
// into the EffectManager.

// PC does not support force feedback...yet
// effect_load shotmade effect1.ffe
// effect_load dunkstrt effect2.ffe
// effect_load jumpball effect3.ffe

hmm...is it possible EA sports would be intending to patch in the future? HAHAHAAH yeah right! :roll:

Hey, that's a possibility!!! :twisted:

Maybe we could nag EA into releasing a patch. :cool: It'd be great having all those vibrations, especially when people in the crowd throws garbage at you. :lol:
