NCAA Patch!?

Is anyone going to create NCAA teams, i loved last year's patch by UKFAN and co. UKFAN, are you going to do the same thing this year? I really do hope this is going to be done as I am more of a college basketball fan than professional. Please someone created this!

I never really got into Live 2003 because i hated the gameplay, but 2004 is much better, so I might actually help out this year.
If someone is really serious about starting this, i will help out as much as i could.
I love the college game even more than the NBA................... and have worked on many faces and Misc patches for Live 2000. I can convert most of those faces if needed.................. as well as patch almost anything else.

When this gets rolling, just E-mail me.

The biggest problem with NCAA Live last year is that it was started too late, and it didn't come out til march madness... All Patchers Unite! :!:

i too am anxiously waiting for a ncaa patch for 2004. i used dpapollo's ncaa patch for 2000 and liked it and lately i've been using uk_fan's ncaa live patch for 2003, but don't like the gameplay of 2003 even though uk_fan did a great job with the rosters and artwork. the artwork is great, but the 2003 game play is too fast and lowering the player speed and quickness doesn't effect this - it's in the game itself.

both uk_fan and dpapollo and dirtdog 1-david said they would help, but wouldn't do it alone. i've been trying to get these guys together before the season is gone, but so far, no luck

ugh, i'm willing to do roster and dbf shit i guess....but is there any1 who can split the work with me, i mean it's taken me over amonth to make a 4 team patch :roll:

Lilrepole- I got your PM......................... looks like this might actually get off the ground. You can count me in!
I will convert almost all of those faces, and will help with other things that are needed................ but first we must assemble these people and this will get done.

Lilrepole- Making a name for himself with the Add-on roster stuff.

UK_fan- Almost all his stuff from 2003 can be converted- by the way that
mod was beautiful.

DpApollo- He has been working on NCAA rosters for Live 2000 for like 5 years. He knows his stuff.

Cklitsie- He makes off the hook jerseys, and i know he has been holding out a couple of those college ones.

Yukon2K- An avid NCAA fan, and willing to help out with whatever is needed.

][][ragon- Crazy amount of college jerseys for Live 2003

Myself- I love the NCAA and have made close to 40 faces for Live 2000, including the whole UConn team; I can easily convert these.

Cocobee- He has been known to dabble in the college players and his beautiful Luol Deng and Jameer Nelson patches prove it.

Ive sent an email to uk fan asking if he's planning on making ncaa for live 2004, cuz as i said it'd be a waste to have 2 teams doing it.....I will also ask him if he'd mind us converting some of the art he made for 2003, as that'd be a big help....

I can get rosters done in no time heres what i need from every1:

29 courts (gerald has said he's willing to do them, but he needs pictures...)
29 sets of logos (no idea where this is gona come from)
29 sets of jerseys (i know a lot of you have made ncaa jerseys, what i need is home, away, practice home, and practice away....)
All the cyberfaces we can get: Dirtdog, everything sounds great bout converting those 40 faces :shock

(29 to make shit compatable with franchise...)

i tried to find something that woulda made this patch just absolutely awesome. i was hoping i could make players retire after a max of 4 years in the league, and was also hoping i could make all the players drafted 18 years old but i odnt believe it's possible. o well....

i've done all the .dbf editing already however, placing teams in 4 evenly balanced divisions, giving them the correct gear/colors, giving them the correct coaches (though i dont know what they all look like so thats off)

so basically the only work i have to do is create 400 players and get all the art together :wink:

But I may be interested in doing a 2004 version of the NCAA patch that me and Ukfan had created.

But im very limited in my time now a days

btw a majority of the content in the original NCAA 2k3 patch was done by me but i just wouldn't have the time to do as much this time around.

My e-mail thats on the NCAA 2k3 site has changed and im not sure Ukfan is real happy with me as after my pc died last year I never really got back around to helping him out.

alright, first we needa see if we have uk's permision to convert the 2003 patch, because that would be a whole lot easier then starting from scratch....

permission? ermm ok... most of the stuff in that patch execpt for the rosters I put in the game IE.. logos courts and jerseys unless there was a major overhaul I can't see how anyone could have rights over something someone else put all the time into.

But go ahead and ask.

Its like I never did anything on the patch that y'all forget so fast.

Ok this is a pretty big project, and we have a lota people helping out so we gota divy this up evenly so that not one person has too much or too little work. First off i gota know whos in on this and how much work they are willing to do....

Jerry, if you could make logos for all the teams, that'd be just awesome, they were my biggest worry because i dont know any1 that can make 29 sets of logos :shock:

Superman, Dragon, Cklitise: I need you three to get in touch and pick out what jerseys you want to do, if you split em up evenly it's about 10 sets a piece...I need home,away, practice home, practice away, are you guys up for that?

Gerald, Jeremy (talked to him on msn, should be posting here soon...): Courts, we need courts, contact each other and pcik out which ones you want to do. i don't know how much time/effort it will take out of jerry to do logos, but maybe he can help out here too......

And as always, i got rosters and dbf, the only thing i can seem to remotly do well...

BTW Jerry, i meant converting the rosters when i was talkin bout uk fan....
Converting any of the stuff u made last year would be great....

Also can a any1 make the coaches some faces??

i could do 30 or so logo's in about a week tops maybe 2 days if i had the time.

Ill have to check out how the 2k4 ones work though and see whats editable

Uk's Rosters will be pretty easy to covert to 2k4 I can teach someone how to do that You would have to spif them up alittle as some feilds are not the same.

Ill take a look at stuff and let ya know just let me know when stuff gets rolling ill pitch in.

kk sounds very good, is uk ok with converting the rosters? cuz i know u did most of the art but the rosters are his if i'm correct right? anyways converting his rosters would truely be a snap, could do it in at tops also as i've done the teams.dbf, coaches.dbf, teamgear.dbf and all i really have to do at this point is create players...so converting his would be very easy....
