Postby j0hn21 on Wed Nov 19, 2003 7:23 am

ive upgraded my G4 mx 420 to FX 5200 128MB i know this is not the best video card out but its the only one i can afford. and i also added another 256 DDR Ram. but when i play my game sometimes i get as far as 3rd quarter and then it hangs. sometimes it kicks me back out in the desktop. this very frustrating.

MY current specs:
AMD 2000XP
Windows XP professional
FX 5200 128MB with the latest Drivers
512 pc2100 DDR
52x CD Rom

i also did try playing on low resolution but same result. please help.

Exact same problem happens to me. Sometimes I can finish games though, but not often.

Athlon XP Barton 2500+
Radeon 9600 Pro 128 MB
512 DDR
Windows Xp

I'd love to get this problem resolved too. I have all the newest drivers for... well, everything!

i have found that live 2004 is a bit flaky...

although not the most demanding game, if your system is not perfectly in tune, it will crash...

for me what worked was slightly underclocking my ram... this is a stop-gap solution until EA properly fixes the crash issue.

well if you are not overclocking there is not much you can do... it's done in bios if your motherboard supports it.

i had the exact same issue, would freeze in game (usually 3rd/4th quarters), this seemed to help a bit.
