Its like 03 in terms of lag (theres till problems). It's 2 people online only (vs each other).
They took out the "Playbook (strategy settings)" for some reason. So, no autosubs, no setting who you want to guard, etc... Theres also only 5 sliders to choose from.

No online franchise mode either (like 2k4). :(

Compared to other multiplayer games its terrible, but still nbalive online is still fun.

i have only played ip games so far and the connections have all been good.no lag or button delay
the thing that sucks is that there is no autosubs and you have to set the game settings, turn on the fatigue plus adjust your camera angle every game.
and u cannot turn off the replays or rematch somebody online.
but u can do all these things against the cpu....go figure
they also made it now that u cannot pause unless u have the ball which is good because now cheaters cant pause you while you are shooting free throws.and also now if your opponent quits online you can resume the game against the cpu.

oh and you cannot set your strategy or turn on crash boards or nothin online
you have to use the teams default plays
but..... you can set all that stuff against the cpu
that so retarded imo
given all the stuff i mentioned that u arent able to do (online)
this is still by far the best online nba live game yet

No rematch? That sucks. (N)

Well as long as it has less lag than live03 than i'm glad.

Wow, no setting strategy or matchups on D? That's incredibly disappointing.

It also doesn't save some of your settings like Big Money mentioned.

Doesn't save:

Camera Zoom level
Player Indicator (pos, name, #)
Auto Replays on/off

You can't turn any of those back on/off either, except for camera zoom level. Which is pretty annoying. I would have also liked it if you could use the sliders that you can in offline mode. It's times like this that I wish sega released espn2k4 on PC, so that EA would be forced to compete with their online mode. I mean this is the computer, the best medium for online games... yet it has the same options as the ps2.

Oh yeah, it doesn't save having the green Stamina Bar being turned On either. :\

But I generally turn it up to 50 and they get winded about the same as they would in 03.
