Keeping player from turning their back

Postby p_rushing on Sat Nov 15, 2003 10:31 am

When the defense pressures you, the player turns his back to shield the ball. How do I stop them from doing it? It makes it hard to drive to the lane with your back to the basket.

If you turn down the On-Ball Physical Defense, it doesn't turn the player around but I does prevent the computer from stopping you movement so much.

put on ball phyiscal defense of comp and urs to about 40 or 35

then put user on ball defense assist to 100...i dunno if this is what caused it but ive being playing 5min quarter games and tyring to get an avg scoring of about 94 after dividing the scores by (5/12)...right now im at about a 100 but this has toned down the fast breaks like crazy

im gonna keep trying and try to play 5 games with that avg then post sliders

Player movement is pretty screwed in my opinion. I'm hardly able to get past a defender cause it's almost impossible to keep facing the opponent. Fiddling around with the freestyle control makes my player turn around but as soon as I start moving again my guy does what he wants - extremely annoying...

One way to handle this is move back out then you will be facing your opponent again, after this what i do is run inside while making a freestlye move then press the pro hop button and i'll find myself inside the box already, i can then go for the lay up, dunk or go for a jump shot.
