Is it just me or do the cyberfaces suck??

yes, a lot of faces this year are absolutely shit. i have no idea why they desaturated all of them like that... they look like zombies

yeah the cyberface of this year live is terrible we are glady because the pc version is patchable unlike the console

I think it's mostly due to the shapes of the faces and the way the eyes are not part of the cyberface.

the NBA LIVE team needs some pointers from the FIFA team on how to make good cyberfaces. I think the big problem with the faces is that they are usually one solid color... also the texture quality is extremely low.

Yeah, I thought they said before the game was released that there would be vastly improved cyberfaces on AT LEAST the superstars. But maybe it is the headshapes, because from the skin files I've seen, they look realistic.

i think EA spend a lot of time on other thingz (10 man freestlye n nba store) and dey spend lil time on da faces

I agree. A lot of cyberfaces looks awful this year, and what is more, headshapes(which can't be edited) are terrible.

I'm a huge fan of MJ.
The first thing I do every year with Live, is making a cyberface for MJ.
This year, none of the pics suited EA's MJ headshape.
I've used some nice pics for him, though.
I've resized and edited the pic and did everything I can to suit the new headshape, but my effort bore no fruit.
Take a look at the side view of his headshape carefully, then you'll see his upper lip is jutted out too much. That will be a big problem to patch MJ's cyberface this year. Even worse, it's hard to find a good headshape for him. And it surely is a big problem for the other players too.
But thank God....we have lots of great patchers around and they might find a way to fix these problems. So I'm just waiting.

BTW, why didn't they make the headshapes friendly with Oedit like other EA titles did?

Look at some Cyberfaces in the game...they look good.....EA finally god rid of the OLD ASS Chris Webber face THe only OLD ASS face that needs to be killed is STEVE FRANCIS he is very very DARK in game...IRL you can barely see his mustache AND he is BROWN not BLACK

cyberfaces look like zombies...and yeah some players are too dark! I couldn't recognize them in the game haha..

.. i prefer live 2003 cyberfaces..they should have patterned that instead!

i have to agree that some faces have been vastly improved. Yao Ming last year was totally unrecognizable. This year he looks much better. JRich looks a little better, if only because you could draw a face in Microsoft Paint that looked better than his cyberface last year. However there are still cruddy faces like Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy on the Warriors who are basically blotchy mystery men.

Some of the head shapes just don't look right, like Kobe's head or MJ's head being too fat. I'll argue that Mcgrady doesn't look quite right either. Lebron looks excellent, they probably spent time on that one
