The Release Date Thread

cuz that may be the old release date HillwoodBalla, untill they changed it to october 14'th. and the site just forgot to chage it


hmm, it's getting close to the release
and i started to think about the PC release date... as it has been said earlier. it may have been pushed up to november 4'th. but since it's so close to the release for consoles (at least) you'd think they would have said somethoing about it. but no. no change. so i hope that the PC/CD release won't be puched up.
but i guess if the demo won't be released soon it would be a pretty clear 'hint' that the PC/CD isn't done yet and therefor the release date may be changed...

so which one u think it is for the ps2 Oct. 7 or 14th?

14'th for all consoles and probebly/hopefully the same for PC/CD

It is released October 8th at Media Play, i just reserved my copy.

i think that is wrong it could be the date that they get the game to the store, but leagally, they shouldn't sell it til the 14'th.
but i could aswell be wrong, and that would be great


this whole release seem a little 'un-oranized'.. diferent sites give diferent dates. release is being delayed (but that's normal now a days...). general confusion regarding the release...

I got Madden 2004 two days before its alleged release date... When I first played it there was like 1 day and 13 hours before the official release date, so there must be hope.

Because the official release date remains October 14th. It will not be released any earlier.

I believe the associate producer of NBA Live 2004 and the official NBA Live 2004 website. Trust me, October 7th/8th is outdated information.

sure? because, we have our cover with superstar Tony parker, and virgin megastore says that Live 2004 will be available next week, on friday

North America is getting it first, and they won't be getting it until at least October 14th.

I highly doubt the console version will come out any earlier. The official site would be updated to reflect the change. There's a chance the PC version won't be coming out at the same time as the console versions, but if it does the earliest it will be available is October 14th. Anything earlier than that is outdated info, anything later than that is still subject to confirmation.

I'm guessing that's it's a matter of double-checking, polishing up, ironing out bugs, etc. Perhaps a delay will allow them to squeeze in a couple of extra transactions involving players who are already in the game.

Again, anything earlier than October 8th is highly unlikely. I'd be very surprised if EA shipped the game earlier than the official release date that is listed over at nbalive2004.com. I'm not sure how a change in the North American release date would effect other areas of the world. I doubt Australia will get it earlier than October 31st no matter what, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Just spoke with someone at gamesmarket.com.au, where I ordered the game for PC.

He said the release date is November 3rd, originally they told me mid october a month or so ago.
This might mean the north american date of 14 oct is still correct, as it may take a few weeks for the aussies to get it.

NHL came out and the ticker still said it wasnt released

Live might be out tomorrow or wednesday...

If it's released on the 8th, it will be the console version only. The PC version won't be out until the 14th (at least).

EB Games in Melbourne told me 3rd of nov. Looks pretty officail for Aussies...i'm happy with that date. Just hoping it doesn't go later...

Since EA still hasn't changed a date on their website, I guess any more delay is unlikely.
They must have gotten so many pre-orders it will be too late for them to change it now... just my opinion though...
If the official release date is indeed the 14th, then i guess it will be also possible for other big name stores to get them a little earlier.
