Now I will lock this thread, because it isn't going anywhere. I know we're trying to relax the rules a little bit, but that doesn't mean we won't be enforcing any rules or anything like that.

This really didn't need to continue along like this after my post. In the future, I'd like to see cooler heads prevail and everyone know when to stop. I'm trying to be as fair as possible, but this is a perfect example of an unproductive thread that eventually leads to more widespread off-topic posts as the flame jumps from thread to thread.

If you've got differences, settle them outside the forum. Above all, remember that this is just an internet forum, the issues we deal with here are fun and in important in their own right, but not life threatening. At the same time, we have to be respectful of each other and behave in a manner that allows for both intellectual and fun discussion.

In summary: The flame is a result (in my opinion) of a misunderstanding, it's been continued far too long and I honestly don't see anything else but more insults coming out of it. My advice is to treat others as you would like to be treated, try not to jump to conclusions as tone isn't always easily detected on message boards and know when to stop when a discussion gets out of hand.
