Webber would be even better if he had his leap... It wasn't spectacular, but for a guy of 6'10" it was good;)

And Iverson needs to stop shooting... He hits alot, but there is always a question mark when he shoots... Its never a sure shot.. He needs to develope a proper Outside game, and keep his inside game tight... And get his arse back DUNKING!!!

Nice list killerht. Those will probably be the 10 highest rated players in the game (I chose 9 of them, but picked Payton over Pierce), though the order is anyone's guess. :)

Pierce is a gun... Actually he was overrated in 2003... I have only seen him play in one game and he was rather ordinary...

I wish Shawn Kemp was still his cool athletic self:(

Maybe you didn't see the game against Indy when he scored around 40 points and hit 21 of 21 free throws (only one of which rolled on the rim ) But he is an amazing player, maybe not as good as T-Mac and Kobe, but better than Vince at 94 overall.

And i disagree that t-mac goes fifth and kobe first :? , they should have the same rating in my opinion cuz well, the opinions are way too divided and they both just seem to score at will(t-mac has my edge though, but kobe has a better D i believe). Just my humble opinion :)

As I said before, two or three players in the top 10 will probably have the same rating. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kobe and T-Mac with the same rating - or at the most, a difference of one between their ratings.

They need to keep track of how many charges you have taken and things... MVP should be calculated by your scoring and such as much...
I draw about 10 fouls a game by taking charges and it seems worthless.

Plus there should be a DRAW FOUL stat.. Like Iversons should be high, cause when he goes inside he is looking to get fouled... If its high you draw alot of fouls if not, you don't:)

But the NBA doesn't keep track of charges taken, at least not publically.

True, but I feel they're one of those statistics that serves its purpose as a "Did you know..." kind of figure, rather than something to post in the League Leaders.

I like it gives depth into a players strenght;)
Injuries should aoocur from it though... I get like 8 charges each game now... Steve Nash is too easy to draw Charges from;)

1. Kevin Garnett
2. Tim Duncan
3. Tracy MacGrady
4. Kobe Bryant
5. Shaquile O'Neal
6. Jason Kidd
7. Dirk Nowitzki
8. Allen Iverson
9. Ben Wallace
10. Gary Payton
11. Paul Pierce
12. Jermaine O'Neal
13. Shareef Abdur-Rahim
14. Chris Webber (he wasn't that good last season)
15. Stephon Marbury
16. Pau Gasol
17. Ray Allen
18. Vince Carter (ir listed practically the whole season)
19. Steve Francis
20. Elton Brand

And who places Webber above Shaq??? Shaquile is the only true center in the game, but hopefully that will change and soon.

And about the rookie ratings... It is incredibly difficult job to predict how a rookie will do and who guessed that Amare would come and walk away with the trophy??? Absolutely no one before december. A wicked athlete and dunker... I still say that the rookies stats should adjust during the rookie season so that there could be the sort of breakthrough games etc.

Injuries should happen every now and then so that your lineup wouldn't have the same 5 starters every game of a season. When has this happened last time??? And the injuries need to be more realistic. If a player goes down with a torn knee ligament, well he'll be out for atleast a month, but the current system has no realism in it.

obitrice, kidd that low, thats totally underrated, he makes players around him so much better and his ability to see things before they happen, and he improved his scoring this year i thought, especially beginning of the season, so he shouldt go out of top ten.
T-mac aint overrated man, he does what he wants at will and what do u expect from iverson and him, when u getting practically no scoring help whatsoever on ur team and u r the only one who can score u should to that(at orlando, who? garrity sure he can shoot but can he create his own? Giricek has too many ups an downs, and at philly: keith who? the guy is as incosistent as it gets, a little bit unreliable, so they have to, and iverson), and kobe aint a ballhog dream on man, that being said of a man who took 42 shots or something when shaq was injured, and for the same reason, there are no other options then, but tmac and ai have that problem the whole year, bryant just gotta throw it too shaq and booyaaa, though he is a great player dont underestimate the shaqfactor, same with penny in his days, if tmac or ai could throw it to shaq, they would man, but everybody has their opinions so no hard feelin's :)

I said Kobe USED to be... When he first started playing....

T-Mac is a ball hog, if he knew how to pass well, he could set up scoring for bad players... When its needed (EG Steve Kerr with the Bulls)
Plus he still has Grant Hill, who can do his thing occasionally...

And AI is a ballhog also, look at the All Star game...

No hard feeling taken man... Its an oppion, its there to be critisized;)

Nobodys a ball hog... They do what the coach tells them to do. And that's the bottom line. T-Mac and AI are both instructed to shoot as much as possible and that they are scoring option one, two, three and four and then maybe put it in someone else's hand. Giricek and Gooden landing in Orlando surely boosted they're game and don't be surprised if T-Mac's shots per game comes down a couple of shots when they start playing for Gooden a little and not always to T-Mac.

AI has his Keith, the inconsistent one. Now they got rid of Larry Brown and Keith ain't "Larry Brown"-type of a player so expect him to boost his stats next season unless they play the tough defense game still.

The coach creates the plays and for Philly and Orlando the shot ends up most of the times leaving from one man's hands. But can you blame them???

T-Mac or AI or Kobe are not the best passers in the league so don't expect miracles from them in that category and there is just so much you can learn...

Hey, I even thought MJ was a ball hog, and thats the way the offense ran.
You don't need to be a great passer to pass.

I actually hope they change the overall rating thing (can't think of the word, the thing that calculates allt he ratings and makes an overall) so the top players are around 90. Like in older versions. So here are my ratings, 2003 style ratings in brackets.
Bryant - 90 (95)
Duncan - 90 (95)
McGrady - 90 (95)
Shaq - 89 (94)
Webber - 89 (94)
Pierce - 89 (93)
Nowitzki - 88 (93)
Iverson - 88 (92)
Kidd - 88 (92)
Carter - 87 (91)

Overall should be lowered, because if you put a players first 8 or so stats to 99 his Overal rating is already 99... It should only be when a player is 99 on everything that he should be 99... Hell if a player has over 80 on everything he is rated 98 or something like that...!

Overall is pretty much the same as your all around effort during a game...

Has anyone ever watched skijumping? They have an intresting idea that would give a pretty good perspective on the average level of a player. In skijump they have 6 judges that give out style points. They take all the style points and take off the lowest and the highest and then calculate the style with what's left.

So in Live you could propably drop off the two or three lowest and highest scores and then calculate the overall according to the rest of the stats. So those 50's and 99's wouldn't effect unless the player really stunk or if he was a super-star. All the averages would be tuned down with a little less difference in them. So a John Stocktons dunking, blocking, passing and dribbling wouldn't count for example. He still is a great stealer and a good shooter and that would make him a better then average player. And it would really bring down those guys that only know how to dunk the ball like Stromile Swift etc.
