No, I think what EA did was that they put the Nike, Reebok, and Adidas shoes in the game (cuz they got permission or something) and for the And1s and Converses they don't have permission, so they make "generic" shoes that look pretty much like And1s and Converses, only without the logos and trademarks...

It's kinda like what EA does with the Boston and indiana courts. They make it look like the Fleetcenter, only without the Fleetcenter logo on the baseline.

you can see the adidas shoes if you go to edit player, and then edit their lower body gear...you can cycle through the shoes, and they have t-macs and some other shoes as well.

I've learned that Adidas and Reebok are in the game but when you go to the NBA Store you can unlock Nikes only. The rest are already available.

I like the NBA Store, but it kind of irritates me that I still can't edit the player's head gear, so if a player doesn't have a headband, I can't give him one. That means that any of the headbands you unlock in the store, like the multi-colored ones, can't be used on any player unless you create them.
