A question about the Wingman Action Pad by Logitech

Postby piggy_thrower on Thu Nov 13, 2003 2:00 am

Does anyone know which features \ functions will I miss when playing the game with the Wingman Action Pad?
It has only one Analog stick.

for me
1.Thrustmaster Dual Power ,hes best and the cheapest
the nicest gum-plastic 6 trigers perfect for chosing tactics perfect analog stics
2.Sony Ps2 +adapter the most expencive
3.Logitech Dual action game pad.
and

rest doesnt worth a pen for me and imo you shouldnt put money in others
dont kill me for number 2 but for live thrust is better for me
other games ps2 take 1st place

[quote="cocobee"]I use the PS2 adapter and I love it, but a lot of Madden heads are getting this control which should be coming out soon--I'm sure you could use this for Live 2004 as well

Hey cocobee. i use one of those too. THe problem is though, that the right stick doesn't completely work. Only up and down axis on the right stick works. It's always been that way for me.
Yours works?
if so, what drivers do you use?

ps. i'm talking about that ps2 adapter. not the one linked to above

How many buttons

Postby Oz® on Thu Jan 29, 2004 8:43 pm

Sorry to all, but i'm searching for a perfect gamepad too.
I live in Italy and here is difficult to find something special about gamepads (everybody preffer keybord!).
I think i've found the FIRESTORM DUAL POWER but, there is a question I have to ask: this gamepad have 4 buttuns on the right, a D-pad, 2 analogic sticks and also other 6 buttons over the pad (3 on the left and 3 on the right)...totally 10 usable action buttons...is it truth?...so, trying to view control settings on the game (NBA Live 2004) i found 12 necessary action buttons:
1) shot
2) pass
3) power dribble
4) crossover
5) dunk/steal
6) turbo
7) direct pass
8) backdown/protect ball
9) playcalling
10) alley-oop
11) pause
12) off-ball switch

How can i configure 12 buttons on a "10 buttons gampepad"?
Thanks to all!

all buttons work as well as the annalog pads. It uses windows XP native drivers and does not need a driver disk. Image

I use the ThrustMaster Dual Power 2, the Dual Power 3 is out now though. With this controller it has a button to disable the left stick to be able to use the d-pad exclusively. But also in Live '04s Controller Config you should be able to configure the d-pad for movement and the left analog for Quick Playcalling though it is viceversa by default.
