Update 5/17/04...Accurate Player Shoe Patch (See last Post)

seriously, i know what u mean, i think he died or sumthin, when i fixed everyones shoes, it only took me 3 days

yo, in all honesty, i got the time, and no more patience for him, so i'm gonna do it, but i do it my way, which means no colorways because i prefer to have all the players having neutral colors so if they get traded they're not like wearing blue shoes on the bulls, so just to warn u, every team and player gets a black and white version for away and home for the same trade reasons, if this sounds ok, i'll go ahead with it, it'll take me only like 4-5 days at most, and for all shoes i cant find, i'll just supply them with a generic shoe

and if response to g, i have to redo it because it all got lost when i updated my rosters, my bad, but i'll get er done again, i'm also gonna take a wild guess and say that the patchers are all ok with this as far as permission goes to use there great shoe patches, so i'll just get started

Wow, that was a quick pick up Glad to see someone with experience working on this project. Keep us up to speed, if you need assistance let me/us know. Btw, what do you think about the batch file idea presented by repole on this thread? See if you can perhaps contact him via PM or other means.

Question about patch, are you employing the batch file idea suggested by repole? How do we incorporate this into our existing rosters and xplayer.viv files? (I don't use customart or DANET highres patch)

Also, since [lob]-nbalv4evr has already began his patch, it wouldn't be fair to ask him to suddenly quit. I say we have 2 available versions of this patch. This way the public has the option to pick a preference. I'm sure both patches will be top notch stuff

...quite honestly, i havent even talked to repole about it...there are basically 2 files in the game that im drastically changing: 1. the shoes file in the xplrcmn.viv file (this will contain all of the new shoes) and 2. the players.dbf file in "mydocuments" (in your saved roster file, ie 000, 001, 002) (this will reflect the new shoe assignments for each player)...im using andrew's final roster set as the base for the players.dbf file (since it includes all of the current players)...

...as you can see, every single player in the game is going to be edited to reflect their real shoes...once im done with the patch i'll ask repole if he can make a batch file to make this happen...if not, you may just have to replace the original shoes and players.dbf file with my updated ones...i'll ask repole is there a way to incorporate it into existing rosters as i was originally planning to release it to people who wanted to begin a new season...keep in touch...

....yeah i hear ya bro....i simply replaced the black ultramatics with the black nike chosens...the bottom of the two look pretty much the same...dont stress out over it, bro...not worth it...

If you want me to amke a batch for the changes you'll be making, so that rather then having to use andrews roster they can just use the batch and update thier own i'm up for it....all you gota do is write down the players name and his new homeshoe/awayshoe and any dbf changes made

...ok...cool...thats gonna take a lot of time though, since i edited every single players shoe and i imported all new and accurate hi res shoes in the shoes file in the xplrcmn.viv file...

mainly we aint working together because we're doin this patch 2 diff ways,im not using colorways and every team is getting a white and black version, so there aint much help we can give eachother as far as help

the only help i need is shoes, mostly just an opposite color for a shoe i have, but im managing and i just finished up the lakers, to let u all know, so im almost halfway

...yeah, i have a lot more colorways involved, so theres a little bit more work i need to put into the patch...both patches will be quality stuff, though ...

You guys can use my shoes on two conditions.
1. - I get some credit.
2. - You do not edit any of my shoes. (Make own colorways and such stuff)
