yo theres only one problem with your roster
some people are rated too high and some peoples shooting are too high
can u fix that
for example corey maggete is 80 while all star steve francis is 78 ithink
and things like that

So are you saying that both of them are too high? or only that steve francis' FG rating should be higher?

I didn't even realize maggette's FG was higher until you pointed it out cause I just based everyones FG rating on their actual jump shooting %.

Maggette is making 38.7% of his jumpshots and Francis 38.3%. I have no biases towards either of them, that's just how it turned out based on the stats.

Regarding some people being rated too high, can you give examples of who so i can take a look at their ratings?

na
jus sayin that players should be rated in accordance to how good they are
maggete isnt better than francis so his overall should be lower

here i got a problem...i dunno if it's cause by the roster, slider or just the game settings...utah got a lot of 3point shooters, so everytime when I play with them, the shot 3 pionters a lot...like3X~4X attempts per game  I even experience them shooting 20 3pt in 12 minutes...
so I can just simulate it when playing against them

kswish2116,

after looking at the stats, perhaps the reason why the overall rating ended up that way is because for one, franchise's #s are down while maggette's have gone up.

i'll re-evaluate their ratings, but i wish you could be more specific about how francis is better than maggette or which attributes deserve a boost (or perhaps should be deducted from maggette) because his quickness, speed, jump, passing & dribbling ratings are already much higher than maggette's.

gergerjai,
unfortunately that's partly because of a game bug. i've tried to compensate for this by lowering shooting range by 2 feet. when i play, my opponents range between 10-30+ 3pfga per game. league average is around 15 i think.

have you tried using half court man to man when they start bombing from outside? also when someone gets hot outside, i turn up the pressure on him to HIGH. when you defend, stick to the guards on D and dont give 'em an inch. This doesn't totally solve the problem, but it should limit it.

im not focusing on jus francis and maggete those were examples
im sayin that players should be rated according to how good they are and the ratings should reflect that
for example if you were gonna do five players ratings -garnett, stephen jackson, gilbert arenas , allen iverson and tyronne lue
the best player being garnett out of them should have the highest overall then ai then gilbert you know?
when it comes to editing teams it should be like that
the highest overall player rated should be the best player
thats what i meant
take my suggestion if you want cus your the one who makes the patches
and 1 request
can you give like the outside shooting centers a little more range and a bettr shooting form?

I understand your point completely and i'm telling you that i'm all for that. :D I'm always open to suggestions regarding specific players and i hope you guys can help me out by giving me more details.

The rosters are by no means perfect and I did mention which ratings were changed (those we can base on stats). What I hoped to accomplish here was to update the relative production among players. So those getting the most steals, blocks, offensive rebounds or what have you per 48 mins get the highest rating in those attributes.

I can go in and tweak other ratings some more to give an overall boost to those players i feel are better than others, but i know that there will always be a difference in opinion as to who is (overall rating-wise) better than the other. I think if you will look at the ratings of players in each team in general, the best overall player does have the highest rating in that team.

Now with that said, I'll be happy to adjust any players ratings if you can give more info and more details simply because I do not want to presume things like who's faster and quicker based solely on my opionion. Thats why the initial tweaks in the rosters were stats based becuse i could support that.

Regarding the shooting form of centers, that I can work on without further details.
