I noticed that and laughed out loud. How did that happen? :)

BTW, I still think Steve Francis is over-rated in the game. The guy is a star and all, but his game play stats make him too much of a weapon. I don't know, maybe I've been burned by him too many times :D but I've also seen him play on TV a few times -- it's clear who the best player on that team is, and it ain't Francis.

One more comment for Andrew: I believe Mike Sweetney is on the active roster for Knicks, but he's not active in your roster (oviously this is easy for me to fix for myself). IIRC, he's higher on the (real) Knicks depth chart than Othella Harrington. Sweetney's been getting the minutes lately partly because Dikembe is hurt, but he's definitely earned that time.

I really have no idea how the Raptors are ranked 91, but I could probably fix that without unrealistically altering players. (Y)

I'll look at Francis's ratings and perhaps tone him down a little.

I'm not sure why Sweetney is on the IR - probably a careless mistake that I missed when I was double-checking. Sorry about that.

Tue Mar 23, 2004 12:32 pm

FYI, the guys currently on the Knicks IR:

- Cezary Trybanski
- Frank Williams
- Mutombo

Harrington apparently is still on the active roster. Doesn't play much these days. I'm surprised to see Williams on the IR -- I guess Moochie has pushed him down the depth chart.

Thanks again for all the hard work Andrew!

As for Francis... just check his stats, then look at his ratings. Don't kill his FG too much, b/c the guy takes some tough shots. He seems to get to the hoop way too easily, though. Maybe it's because he's such a great dunker? I dunno; you'd be a better judge.

Why do I have it in for Francis? I guess I had big expectations for him, given his nickname, and he hasn't come-up as big as the hype. :)

Edit: FYI, Stevie is posting (by far) career lows in FG%, 3PT% and FT%!

yo
i had a big thing to ask
if you could fix the overall team ratings too that would be good
jus like they said toronto isnt a 91
and jalen rose aint a 76 player this year
hes in the 60s
i think lowering some ratings will adjust the overall team rating
please work on this for 1.07

Yes, a couple of people have already suggested that.

Thanks for the correction Alexboom. (Y)

Andrew here's a suggestion : what about adding real players to the Bobcats roster ? You could replace "C. Center" and guys like this by real players that could potentially selected by the Bobcats in June (guys like Rodney White, a bunch of free agents and a rookie) As the Bobcats players are not included in franchise mode there won't be any problem with duplicated players, and that could give us a great shot at what the Bobcats could be

What do you think of it ?

Another guy who could require an upward bump in ratings is Carlos Boozer. The guy has been a monster in the month of March (18.4ppg, 12.6 rpg). Also, Richard Jefferson has proven he too is a All-Star caliber player. His ppg for the year is up to 18ppg to lead the Nets! In the month of March he's been averaging 22ppg, definitely stepping up to another level.

Hmmm...I'd rather just leave them with generic players for now. Sorry.

I already increased Boozer in the last update, but I'll look at his ratings again.

Sorry, but no. Over the last two updates, I've increased him from about 35 to at least 52 overall. I can't really boost his ratings any more without them being unrealistic.

I just finished watching the Mavs vs Heat game, and i must say, Dwyane (or whatever :P) Wade has MAD hops. yet his dunk rating is only a 40 in game, the guy did some sick dunks in this game.

Sat Mar 27, 2004 3:15 pm

I had left Wade's rating at 40 because I wasn't sure how often he dunked in regular games (I saw him throw down a couple of awesome dunks in the Rookie game at All-Star Weekend). I'll certainly boost his dunk rating. (Y)

Ah, cool. I never use the Cavs so I didn't know. Thanks!

FYI, RJ lit it up in losing cause last night (28 pts, 3 reb, 7 assts, 3 steals, and 2 blocks... too bad they lost). I hope the Nets get JKidd and KMart back for the playoffs!

Hi Andrew !

Since i watched about 50 Heat games from this season i think i had a good luck at all heat players...

My personal oppinion on Wade's Dunk Rating is it should be at the Level of Steve Francis (IMO he's a better Dunker then Francis)

Also he should get a big raise for his inside scoring , he doesn't makes much midrange or outside shots 80% of his shots/layups come from the paint and that with a fg% of 47% this season as a pg !

Andrew if u ever have a Q about the Heat lemme know i'd really like to help out :)

Sun Mar 28, 2004 7:36 pm

Thanks Dave. Anything regarding the Heat's ratings, by all means let me know. I'd be glad of the in-depth analysis and suggestions. :)

Sun Mar 28, 2004 11:10 pm

Vince Carter is listed at 6'6". I'm not sure why I switched Kendall Gill's shooting hand; I probably intended to change someone else and changed Gill's attribute by mistake.

Larry Hughes is the best players of Wizards this season,I think you can get him a little increase.

mayb he should lower the rest of the wizards and keep him the same coz they have been playin that bad lol

Tue Mar 30, 2004 6:55 pm

I can certainly review Larry Hughes' ratings. (Y)

for anyone that wants dalembert's ratings a little higher try balancing the increased ratings with his primacy and stamina. i looked at his monthly stat breakdowns from nba.com and boosted his ratings to reflect his increase in production since becoming a full time starter as opposed to his overall season stats, and then adjusted the stamina and primacy to get the right sim results. i used 60 for stamina, and 20 for primacy to start off with and then changed the ratings to get the averages at about what his march totals are.

he has put up some decent numbers a few times for someone who doesn't have any plays run for him, so his off awareness should be better but it might boost his ovr too much.
