95/96 Season Roster Preview

anyway, Andrew are you gonna update some faces... like Iverson (No Cornrows, Sheed (No Tats)...??

Iverson didn't play in the NBA for the 95-96 season. He was drafted in the 1996 NBA draft and 96-97 was his rookie year.

Andrew, perhaps if you have some time, you could bring back the Midweek Patch reports for this patch like you did for the '96 Patch for 2001. Anyways, if you want, I could make the season schedule for the 95-96 season for the extreme gamers.

by the way i still have the NBA scouting booklet which contains the roster after the 1996 playoffs
so if u need some help on the roster i can gladly help

Thanks guys. I've got pretty much all the info I need, though it couldn't hurt to have extra sources for clarification and corrections. I'd certainly be grateful for the assistance.

I'd love to have a few people on board to create faces for created players, as well as some updates for existing players (different hairstyles, younger faces, etc). Just let me know if you're available and we'll work something out.

I was thinking about that. I'll certainly be posting progress reports and more previews from time to time, to not only showcase the roster coming together but also the art that patchers have kindly contributed.

Pretty weird all this excitment now, since my historical rosters were ready more than a month ago and nobody answered to me askin for help with cyberfaces and arts...

Its true I havent published preview pictures of me work, but the patch is wicked, with real ratings values, updated overall value (Andrew remember I told you how to calculate it startin from the other ratings)working in all modes.

Only thing that made it a beta is I hadnt time to update faces of missing cyberfaces players (they all have got a dummy one) but we could have worked on it abd realised a great patch in a short time.

Dont want to be too childish but seeing that people werent interested in me work turned down me excitment so I used to play the patch on me own.

This doesnt mean we can start from here again. If anyone is interested in helpin out lemme now on this thread. I can release a players.dbf demo for the yr you want so you can see if interested in the patch.

I'm not sure I remember that formula. The only formula I use is for the free throw rating (FT%=FT Rating).

I converted 9394 season for you. As I said in this beta version all created players will use the same dummy face (white, bald) I'm workin on a more efficient procedure but at the moment thats all Ive got (and if you ve some practice with editing you ll be able to get some cyberface around).

Seattle went to the Finals and believe it or not but Kemp was probably the best PF in the NBA. Its just a classic year. The Knicks still had Ewing and Starks.. Orlando were a threat but got swept.. Great frigging year

I've got all the information regarding the rosters. I've just been working a lot lately, so I haven't had much free time. I have done 8 of the 29 teams, and hope to do some more work on the patch soon.

wooohoo.. big country reeves is back in Vancouver lol!!! i cant wait to play as my beloved raptors, minus the vc and tmac.. when mighty mouse ran the court, ed pickney was our pre-version of JYD and the big O (oliver miller) and Zan Tabak were our centers.. lol bring on the growing pains of my raptors and grizzlies..

also andrew will u be editing the teamgear.dbf so by default the old skool jerseys are default rather than 2003/04 jerseys?

Of course. There will also be some excellent retro jersey and other art patches, kindly provided by some of the community's finest patchers, who I'll give an early shoutout to now.

But i have a question: Is it possible to play a dynasty with these teams and after one season the rookies are the real rookie from the further years?

I think you would have to do quite a bit of DBF editing for that. After the draft, delete the generated rookies, replace them with the actual rookies, and change the years played etc.

Anyways, that's my assumption, feel free to correct me folks.

Everyone would have to manually add the rookie class. This wouldn't have been an issue in previous years, but the last couple of Lives do not allow us to place rookies in the draft pool prior to starting a new Dynasty/Franchise game.
