Unless they've changed the rules for statisticians, missed field goal attempts are not counted if there's a foul. However, if the shot is good and the player is fouled, a successful field goal attempt is recorded.

so please. watch the gamesbeing played before dissing anyone else aight?
peace out.
ditto, did you watch the game last night? I know Yao was the big story but Stevie hit 9-11 from the floor and 1-2 from the 3 point arc. He's not over rated, just having a down year stat wise in JVG's system. He can still score at will, but he's finally learning how to be a point guard too. Please leave his rankings alone.

Andrew, I had a couple of suggestions for 1.05:
- Silas has started playing LeBron on the wing, so could we see him as a sg/sf instead of a pg. i always change this before i play anyways.
- I'm not sure who else this applies to, but could you set Paul Pierce's headband and arm band to team colours instead of green. It looks cool but the minute he's trade away from the celtics he looks like a goof.

3 pointers are too easy I think. At least if you play on superstar. A good 3p shooter will score even if he's guarded by a taller player.

I've been wondering about LeBron. I'll move him to shooting guard, with McInnis at the point.

I'll fix Pierce's gear too.

Are you using my sliders? If so, I suggest turning the long range slider down a little. This is a more acceptable solution than reducing everyone's three point rating (though some players probably do need their rating reduced - suggestions most welcome).

When will you release 1.05 patch. With trade deadline on thursday and all? is it expected soon?
Tue Feb 17, 2004 3:08 pm
v1.05 will be released February 20th or February 21st, after the trade deadline. As I'm in Australia, the trade deadline won't have passed until February 20th here.

v1.05 current rosters patch, is it the final verison of the rosters update?
Wed Feb 18, 2004 11:34 pm
Andrew, you make a great roster but can you improve Stephon Marbury's shooting. He is a much better shooter than he is rated as.

let's add mcgrady's leg wrap to things that would be better for francihsie mode set as teamcolour

No, just an update after the trade deadline. Updates will continue beyond v1.05.

Done and done.

How about uping Speedy Claxton's FG, Assists, and Steals ratings a bit.
He's been tearing it up ever since he's became a starter.
Thu Feb 19, 2004 8:11 pm
Sure, I can look into that.
Fri Feb 20, 2004 7:28 am
Just wondering - Duncan is MVP and he is not the best in the league..
Fri Feb 20, 2004 7:51 am
Just beacause he was MVP last season dosen't make him the best player or MVP this season. Kevin Garnet should be ranked nr 1 in the league, his stats are crazy!!
Fri Feb 20, 2004 6:01 pm
Ok, but Kobe?
Fri Feb 20, 2004 6:30 pm
Ratings such as dribbling and passing can really boost a player's overall rating, which is why Kobe is rated as he is. But I could bump some his ratings down a little.
Fri Feb 20, 2004 11:46 pm
I'm almost sure that a few points in one direction won't change the game.
How are the overall ratings calculated. Is it just a simple average of all the categories or is there a different systm for centers, guards...?
Sat Feb 21, 2004 3:01 pm
I don't think all the ratings are calculated equally, but it's basically an average of the ratings. I couldn't tell you the exact formula; I've got a feeling a couple of ratings might also be calculated differently for big men.

Why wasn't it be released today?
Sat Feb 21, 2004 3:57 pm
These players' ratings are not very true in 1.04:
Too low:Boozer,McInnis,Cardinal,Claxton,Q.Richardson,Medvedenko,Redd,Dalembert
Too high:Mills,Pippen,Padgett,E.Griffin,D.Johnson,Horry,
Sat Feb 21, 2004 3:59 pm
And jump and dunk of F.Jones and C.Andersen are too low

Please do not post four times in a row. It is unnecessary to make four seperate posts. Please edit your original post wherever possible. Thank you.
Why wasn't it be released today?
It wasn't released February 20th (February 20th my time) as I was simply too tired when I got home from work. Rather than rushing the update, I allowed an extra day so that I could fix all the reported errors and make sure the lineups were up to date.

I'm very soory that I had posted four times in a row.It won't happen from now on.Thank you very much and lot on the perfect roster patch.
