WOW! I love the 2nd one, Lamar Odom, that face looks so realistic! The sheen on it is great! Also your Tim Duncan is very very nice.

As for the Vlade Divac I think it's good, but you just need to touch up the transition between the neck and chin area, imo.

You should try making complete updates...shoes, texture mapping, and so on...you have some great faces, but installs and what not would probably be good for people not used to using EA Graph or whatever to install them. ;)

just because of the utter quantity of the previews...I'm gonna give you my honest "detailed" opinion on these

It is very weird because there seem to be very distinct styles on different batches of these...as if they weren't all done by the same person. Some have a very appealing cartoonish, but human look to them...others are just really really crappy...others very detailed...others it only seems like you increased the sharpness...I don't get it

The ones you completely nailed:

Cuttino, Zach Randolph, Mutombo, Francisco Elson....amazing job on these, I can't wait to get them

near perfect: Carlos Arroyo, might mouse (went a little far with the eyes, ha), gary payton (eyebrows a little too raised), j-rich, drobjnak (he actually looks like he takes showers and shaves in you patch...looks amazing, still), tayshaun prince (you nailed his face, but really has no hair nowadays..being picky :) )...finley (like j-rich, maybe a little too cartoony, but still great), steve nash (looks the most interesting of these...the bottom of the hair isn't perfect, but it seems to work....amazing job on that t one), sam cassell (a little increase in sharpness and it's perfect really)

your ray allen looks like someone else's, your kyle korver is much better than ea's obviously....the hair looks incredible though the eyes might be too small...eddie jones looks great, though you might have pushed the cartoon look too much on that one

caron, rasual and john wallace are very close to being really good...odom's just a little too shiny and deformed for my tastes :)

nothing else really worth mentioning, either you didn't change that much )joe smith, qrich) or what you changed doesn't look all that great...(divac, parker).

Don't take this personally just being honest and trying to give you constructive criticism

the "that's great, release!" comments are almost automatic on this board, you need someone to bring you back to earth....

King James, You really need to fix PENNY Hardaway, it doesn't look like him much... :?

it looks good to me...must release it...

Fri Mar 05, 2004 12:53 am

i like tayshaun, cuttino, mighty mouse, korver, kenyon and manu... can't say i'm too keen on others, they seem to be very rushed, and either look like deformed versions of their real life counterparts, or nothing like them at all. again, i repeat, focus on quality, not quantity... you're talented, you can do better than that.

btw, Jen did the hair on iverson, not Zen ;)

Fri Mar 05, 2004 1:16 am

and i think u also spelled ReyJ wrong

Fri Mar 05, 2004 3:34 am

wow that's a freaking lot........ how long did it take you?
i'll just point out some weird ones that i noticed immediately

-crawford.... conehead??
-steve nash.... hair looks like lightning bolts
-yao ming... detail is there, but it's not him
-sam cassel doesn't look like him....
-korver looks like a doll.....barbie...
-what happened to karl malone??
(these are just my opinions though... i'm sure many people will disagree and still think they're good)

there are good ones in there... like
mobley, kobe, shaq, vc..... divac's ok i guess.... there are some other good ones i missed, but when you focus on doing them fast... they will just turn into EA quality.... (i'm sure EA's guys are talented, but they had to focus on quantity too, right?)

i know you got skills, but you need to spend more effort on each one, instead of... what's happening now...
i mean, the ones that you used to release individually were (Y)... and you can see them in this batch... but the rest...

Fri Mar 05, 2004 10:22 am

This is tremendous!! I agree with the constructive input regarding some of the lesser quality faces, and there are quite a few, but when you guys give credit you fail to mention and have omitted certain excellent faces in this list such as Shaq! OMG, how can you overlook this excellent piece? The best replication of Shaq thus far! Other notables aside from the ones mentioned are Tim Duncan, Rick Barry (Altough EA's was good) , stephen Jackson, Webber and Wallace not too shabby either. If you can make some adjustments to the lacking aspects of the less desirable faces, I definately gotta give my commendation!
