OMG in my search for the NBA Live 2004 Disc so i can start my CAPS i have realized I have left my NBA Live 2004 disc at my dads house, now I can not start thr CAPS untill sunday, luckily I can start the Stats thought i'd just let you all know

No he didnt. He started every game that he was healthy for. Kukoc was the 6th man.

I'll second that Rodman was a starter I was Rodmans biggest fan trust me he was a starter!

Toni Kukoc is also in the game as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. That would be one less player to create! I have been making the 96 Bulls team by using the player ratings (ie. Rodman, Longley, etc...) from some of the old Live games . I have heard that the rating system is slightly different from the old games but I compared the Jordan and Pippen on both games and most of the ratings are similar. I have adjusted the ratings that were drastically different and so I have to see how it works out. Anyway, hope that made sense!

Rodman started 66 of the 80 games he played in during the 1997/1998 regular season, but Kukoc started most of the playoffs (including the NBA Finals).

Kukoc came off the bench. The only time he started was when Rodman was in his usual disctracting ways. I believed Kukoc started in the 1997 Play off series against the Hawks.

True, Rodman started almost every game, but sometimes phil jackson changed the line-up depending on the team they would play against that night...

But i think 80 % of the time rodman started

I seriously doubt it. The league sucked in 97-98. It was better than it was in 96 when the Bulls got 72-10 but it still wasn't too good. I think the current Lakers would definitely beat the 97-98 Bulls. The fact that they don't have a good center is enough to kill them. You'd get Jordan/Kobe which would go to MJ. Rodman/Malone which would go to Malone. GP and Harper where GP would get the leg up. Finally, Scottie would be better than Deaven George. But when you look at the bench you still gotta go with LA. They have Fox and Fisher on the bench. Oh, and Kerr isn't and has never been that good. I'd even put teams like the TWolves, the Kings, and the Mavs over them. Their only saving grace was MJ and Pip. Consider that they faced the Jazz in the Finals and you'll see that the league sucked that year (I'll give Stockton and Malone credit but the rest of the team sucked). The 91, 92, or 93 Bulls would be more likely to own the L this year.

You are forgetting one very important thing on your “fantastic Laker team”. They got Phil Jackson as head coach and with him the triangle offense. If the MJ/Pip Bulls were still together Jackson would be the coach and no way the Lakers could defeat them. The Lakers won three straight championships because of Jackson and the entire Chicago’s coaching staff he brought to LA. LA got Shaq and Fox and Kobe way before Jackson got there and they could do nothing to win a championship.
Regarding to the Bulls’ lack of a good center…Let me remind you that the Bulls’ extraordinary defense using either Longley or Rodman ( PF) made Shaq’s life miserable in the 96 Eastern Conference Finals…when, oh! Chicago kicked Orlando’s ass sweeping them out of the playoffs.
The Bulls never cared about the others teams’ benches. As long as they had MJ and/or Pip on the floor on every single minute of the game the opponent’s bench would never be a factor.
One thing I agree with you is that the 92 Bulls and that year entire league were way much better than the 96-98 leagues.

Alright, first, let's get something cleared up. For all the people saying Rodman was making Shaq's life miserable, please go and actually watch that 96 East Finals between the Bulls and Magic. The Magic were not even close to full strength and while the Bulls were. Horace Grant was hurt and Shaq was playing hurt just like Penny. Had both clubs been healthy, I can guarantee that the only sweep that would have been done would be by the Magic. Don't make statements like these if all you know about that series is just one or two lines you heard from someone.

Next, the LA team right now would probably take out Chicago from 97-98 because the Bulls had very little depth and Center. However, the 96-97 club, which I believe is the best Bulls team, would have beaten this Laker team because they had size in Brian Williams and Jason Caffey. It should be noted that the 97-98 Bulls team won 62 games, but would have won more had Pippen not been injured. When he came back, the Bulls went on a 25-2 run with the two losses coming to Utah.

As for the state of the league in the late 90's, why don't you actually try to look at who teams had on their squad. The 1996-97 season was the best in my opinion. Chicago, Utah, Houston, New York, Miami, LAL, and Seattle all had teams that could dominate today's NBA. I'd say the competition was much higher in that season.
