It doesn't matter what they say, if EA isn't finished and doesn't ship it off, you won't get it.

What in the world are you saying? They are finished! Think about it, there is few days until the release of this game. If they haven't finished it, how in the world are they going to distribute it in time?!?!! They are finished.

This can´t be true, because nba live 2004 doesn't gone gold yet. And if nba goes gold, it takes at least week or two before it can be released...
Demo will be also released before full version...
Sry, my english is realy bad...

When a game goes gold, it is ready to release.

October 14th remains the official date. The PC version definitely won't be out as early as October 8th, and EA have yet to confirm a new date.

I work at Zellers (canadian version of walmart) and we're expecting shipment late 8th or early 9th. As soon as we rip open the package, i'm taking one.

The only date for PC that's confirmed is October 14th, though there could be a delay. That's what I've been told.

The game is finish its probably been finished for weeks, because it takes nearly a month to mass produced and get the games stocked. When I go to work later I'll see when FYE gets it in.

The PS2 version of NBA Live ships 10/14, the PC version is 11/11. Some people that Participate in the EA sports community Program will receive the game tomorrow or monday.

here is the email message that I received from EA sports.

All,

First off, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for agreeing to
participate in this year's Community Leaders program for NBA Live 2004.
Together, I'm hoping that we can continue to evolve not only the game
itself, but the community of players surrounding the game, thus making
the overall NBA Live online experience even better.

Getting your feedback on the games is one of the key aspects of our
community leaders program. We are all very interested in your
comments--good and bad--about this year's game. I would love to get
some replies back from everyone listing what they liked about the
*online* aspects of the game, including features or game elements you
see as problems and details on what you think can be improved. Don't
think of this as a beta test where you're looking for bugs (these *are*
final copies of the game you'll be getting anyhow) but more as a means
for all of you to provide us feedback on the game's fun-factor, what you
think we could have done better, and what you feel we really nailed. To
this point, as I noted to some of you, I'm going to try and set up some
times for some of you to play online and (if you have the hardware)
voice chat with some of the guys from the development team. The details
on this aren't worked out yet, and I'll be passing along more info as I
get it.

But, first things first. There are still a few bookkeeping matters to
attend to. Most importantly, we need each and every one of you to sign
and return to us a copy of our pre-release software non-disclosure
agreement (NDA); a MS Word version of this is attached. Please sign
this and fax it back to me as soon as possible at (fax number). You
can also scan these in and email the forms back if you don't have access
to a fax machine. This is extremely important: I cannot send off your
games until I have your NDA.

What does this NDA mean? By signing this, you are essentially agreeing
to use the advance copies of the game you'll receive for your own
personal enjoyment only--you cannot share them, sell them, trade them,
or otherwise distribute them. You are not prohibited from taking screen
shots, or talking about the game on your own websites--in fact, we
encourage you to do just that!

We're getting very close to the time when the game is on the shelves,
and my intention is to get you the games ASAP, hopefully a few days
before the general public. I should be getting the games delivered to
my office today or tomorrow. To ensure there is no lag time in me
sending these games out, please get your NDA sent back to me ASAP.

Though I may have it for some of you, if you can all please confirm your
name, mailing address, and t-shirt size when you send back your NDA I'd
appreciate it. I want to make sure that I've got everything right.

As I've expressed to some of you, developing the online community for
our PS2 games is very important to EA this year. I'll be sending out PC
versions of the game to everyone, and I'd like to send PS2 versions of
the games to everyone who has the hardware to play online. Please
confirm for me too, when you send back your NDA, if you have a PS2 to
play on also.

That's it for now. Please let me know if you have any questions, and
please get those NDAs signed and returned to me ASAP.
