Yeah, all we've seen is the bad quality scanned one which was from some mag, but nbalivekk somehow got hold of the original image. (Y)

I just hope that we will be able to edit the head shape files so we can make our own cyberfaces that precise. MVP Baseball let's you modify the headshape to your liking.Let's hope Live does as well.

I second that. That way i can even create myself with a horn!
Well, anyway, that will really be great. I wonder why it's not possible with nba-live head-shapes if it is with MVP baseball.

um...

Obviously because they are of different format.
What I mean is that why they made them different, since most other graphics formats (such as fsh types) are shared amongst EA Sports games.

Where did you find the 2004 pic of Iverson because I haven't seen a pic of him yet.

From what i've seen...iverson is the only person who seems to have a better face than in live 2003...the graphics in live 2004 look very disappointing. No wonder he's the only featured comparison.

Yeah, although that pic was all over the internet back in March, this is by far the best quality I have seen it in. It could be a more updated version of the comparsion after EA polished it up, but my only complaint still is his braids designs. hopefully EA has tons of realistic looking braid desisns for him and others in the L with hair. (Lets not forget created players).

Ben uploaded a scanned pic of that from a gaming magazine, this definitly gives us a better idea. Ivey's new skin tone needs more brown in it IMO.

The top of Iversons head looks off though. Looks like its shifted to the side. The face is great though

I think the skincolor isn't wright. the skin color under the headband looks much darker then the one above the headband

It's possible that Allen Iverson is just being used as a comparison for the final product. Perhaps everyone else will have a cyberface that is as realistic as that preview, once all the graphics have been polished up.

The reason why AI is the only one shown with a new cyberface is because EA had to start somewhere. + that comparison is quite old (around march someone stated), it's where they started, its not where they're at :) only thing is EA haven't shown us where they're at in terms of the rest of the players :?
...also what happened to "certain players from each team will have adequately represented player models"? I thought most players would have their bodyshapes look realistic by now....

I'm almost assured the Iverson 2004 face is actually his face from NBA 2K2...

Lots of varied opinions on this topic, the one thing I've seen that I really haven't liked is looking at some skin tones of certain players namely Mike Bibby & Vlade Divac, they appear much darker in game then in real life. My hope is that these being still early screenshots are not reflective of the final product and if they are hopefully the NBA lets EA gives us more customability with the real nba players like the NFL let EA do with Madden this year, They didn't give a whole bunch but they gave alot more then they have in the past.

The graphics are secondary in many ways... The skin tone of some players... Man, that's just lame.

If you have played NBA Lives since the start, well you should only check out Jason Kidd from year to year. One year he has that middle american color, the next he's all whitey boy and the next is again something more middle american. It was just crazy...

It takes time to make it all right... And EA has to leave something for the patchers to fix. What else would they do the entire year???

Of course in the early days, you could simply change the player's skin tone with one of the unofficial player editors. These days, you've got the cyberface to worry about as well.
