Marvelous, better than EA's cheesy one, I'm glad there's gonna be more kinds of shoes than just nike as originally said.

all courts except 2, no problem BChogan will hook it up! Man, on a graphical stand point no game will be able to match Live on PC!

I hope this is the start of more Live info!

Thanks for the link cocobee. :) An informative interview, and another positive preview of NBA Live 2004. Seems like there's a lot of detail in Dynasty Mode, but hopefully you can turn some of those cutscenes off. Watching a player leave the lockerroom in a suit after being cut would get old after a while.

I'm liking the latest info on player individuality, as well as the further reassurance that Freestyle won't make it too easy to score. Hopefully the same will go for the CPU.

You can probably skip the cut scenes by pressing start or something like usual.

Yeah, I love the fact that they actually got Nike, Reebok and Addidas to sign. It'll be cool. I just hope we can tone down the blocks and steal, and shooting percentages via sliders. If we can, then I will be very very happy. Those were the aspects that pissed me off in Live 2003 but can easily be fixed with the sliders.

sounds amazing......doesnt look like they did too bad a job on the shoes either. less than a month away

As much as I loved last year's game, I can't even play it anymore now that I've played the new game with all of the added features and animations. It's like looking back at your 7th grade photos. Back in 7th grade you might have thought you were pretty cool, but once you're not in 7th grade anymore, you look back and can't believe you ever had that haircut.

If this is the back, This game is gonna be amazing because I though I was the fucking shit back in 7th grade!!!!

In that RJ Tim Duncan block, Duncan is actually looking dead at the ball when he goes for the block. If the head actually tracks the ball like that it will be fuckin great!

In our game, now when you release a player, you actually see him in a suit walking out of the dressing room.

Can b serious

Cool news, hope more is on the way... Live 2004 is shaping up to be a outstanding game... blah blah blah...

Fri Sep 12, 2003 2:46 pm

looks cool...but i hate the part where u have to earn points like in NHL 2002 to buy and collect stuff...but it might make the game for fun...u never know....

I don't think it will be as cheesy as NHL 2002 had it... And NHL had that for a year and now it's gone.

The point gathering will be something related to your dynasty success etc. in my mind and you can hopefully make a little difference with them. If you could put your rookies through the drills big time and help them develop, well that would be so good I might have to cry... I want to get me a project player and just go to work with him... And try to make him NBA capable.

There really wasn't anything new in that interview... Not much atleast. Some more details. I have a feeling they are sitting on more then cheesy cut scenes about the NBA draft and players getting waived. There just has to be more...

Fri Sep 12, 2003 3:16 pm

from what i just read the game should be good yo
i can't wait to use the new defense and the floater tear drop shots.

I'm hoping that most of the details of Dynasty Mode are things that are left unsaid/unadvertised - improvements to the existing system such as more intelligent trades, better free agency, etc. Perhaps there will be something bigger, but I know I'd settle for significant improvements to the features from Franchise Mode in addition to the new features we already know about.

I've said a half a million times on these boards that the game lives and dies with the new dynasty mode and I hope they are sitting on one big gold nugget of a dynasty feature... I hope the dynasty will be even better then we hope it to be, even more in depth... I really want to see all the features in the dynasty mode.

Fri Sep 12, 2003 4:12 pm

Well, in the interest of discussion, what kind of feature do you think it may be? Something that is brand new, or a revamped version of an existing feature?

Fri Sep 12, 2003 4:16 pm

I know this can be like comparing apples to oranges but...anyone interested in seeing what kind of things MAY be contained in the NBA Live dynasty mode might want to check out these NHL 2004 pics...

Damn...looks good from here... I already have Madden 2004. If you don't know American Football, you would get lost. So many things to check out and to do... I wonder how i'll fare in NHL 2004. :)

Cheers! :D

Fri Sep 12, 2003 7:27 pm

this game gonna be great :D I'm glad to hear u can increase player attributes by buying a certain coach :P

Fri Sep 12, 2003 7:40 pm

I'm guessing it won't be that easy though. Surely, the success rate will depend on the player's development potential and the changes won't be evident right away.

Fri Sep 12, 2003 7:40 pm

I'm getting the NHL game as soon as it comes out.

Shep Ramsay... If you say that the jumping is too high... Well how are the real people still able to dunk if they can get to the rim height. What is the highest dunk record??? Somewhere around 3,5 meters. And how high does that guy jump? 20 centimeters... I don't think the players are too high in those pics, but that's just one mans opinion. Then the jumping could be off, if they always jump that high... But these pics picture a quite a realistic situation in my mind. The guys can jump... The guys can practically fly through the air like you or I never could. Most of the best athletes in the league leap over 40" vertically and if you add that meter to the two meter height, well the players head pretty much should be on the hoop level. Which is at 3.05 meters.

And about the secret feature in the NBA Live... Well something that hasn't been referred to at all. This is just a guess of mine, but I think that they've done something major with the free agent signing process and re-signing process and the whole off-season thing. If they've added a cut-scene for rookie draft and when a player gets waived, well that only leads pretty darn straight to this conclusion. But it still might be something else... Something bigger, but this would be satisfactory.

Fri Sep 12, 2003 7:43 pm

That's the kind of secret/feature that I was thinking of - great improvements to existing elements (such as free agency), not necessarily a brand new feature (such as a full All-Star Weekend).
