NBA Live 2004 Tournament - anyone? Ideas?

Since this years Live isn't that great (yet, before SUM) and there has been some activity on the older games, I thought of this idea : would there be interest for a NBA Live 2004 mini-tournament? I would be willing to organize and run the thingy.

As for this topic; only say if your interested, this is not a signup thread, I will make one later if necessary. In this thread I thought people could express their interest and throw in possible ideas for the possible tournament.

Here are my ideas so far:
Shorts online games, maybe 5-6 min quarters, single game elimination play-off style, maybe longer series in the end.

I could make the rosters to use for this thing and we could add some other necessary files, like AIACT and sliders.

So, any interest?

Any ideas about the tournament format, sliders, minutes, team selection etc.? About team selection, I suggest a random team for every round, but of course you're all free to post your own

see thats a good idea, except someone might get stuck with the bobcats. Big question is default files or modified files, like the aiact, roster, ect. IMO default sliders, and roster, 5 minutes and pick w/e team you want for w/e round.

Ok... I thought of making a roster what to use, maybe silders as well since default sliders are bit off. I don't know yet whether to include the aiact as well since I've had a couple of crashes recently. Naturally everyone should have the same files.

How about that you can pick whatever team you want but you can't use the same team twice? Although I definetly wouldn't mind having a same team through the entire thing.

Would someone set up a server for this, or would we have to do direct connect. I dont think EA supports their online thing anymore.

Direct ip connect I guess is the only way. Unless we want to do a sim tournament

Well we have seven people ready, I dunno... if we do make it happen we're gonna have to make it not a playoff format, something else.

Use Andrew's sliders. You could also use Seushiro's aiact.

I have just uploaded my bundled AIACT which has three to choose from so just use anything that you want for the tourney. . . I also suggest Andrew's sliders. . . the only thing you guys should talk about here is who's roster file will you use as a base and put in the original.dbf to play online. . . Gud luck guys
