i wish i was one of the game tester for NBA LIVE 2004

gdamn. i was so hyped about this game. and its actually starting to annoy me.

-PG like andre miller cant dominate Lebron James. (all those stupid floaters going in is NOT Realistic)
-player lock is pointless, y even put it in the game.
-franchise blows. this game doesnt come close to nba2k series franchise mode
-created player heads are HUGE. try creating a 5 foot 5 player !$)(*!@$ (btw, im 6'0 and my player has a BIG (!$# HEAD)
-is it just me or the "defensive stance" is not in live 2004
-nba store = lame. THATS IT?!?! shiit...
-cyberfaces LICK ASS! Live 2003 was way better.
-look at nba2k4, the JERSEYS/SHORTS ACTUALLY MOVE (even though small movement)
-also i would add a different feature instead of that quick release lay up = WHEN u go for a dunk or a layup, you can use your right analog stick to change hands or whatever (of course not everyone can successfully do it, like if s.bradley tries do to that he will look like a dumbass and miss horribly, but it if was KOBE or jordan, then chances of it going in is good)
*this feature IS MY FEATURE. i said it first

well i dont care about the player lock, and create player cuz i dont use them. The nba store looks like fun, but i dont really care about that. The only thing i care about is the gameplay ( i cant be worse than 2003) and the graphics

change the sliders... then they will be harder... c'mon man

theghost wrote:-franchise blows. this game doesnt come close to nba2k series franchise mode
ok.. mind actually explaning why it "blows" ?

theghost wrote:-is it just me or the "defensive stance" is not in live 2004
yes it is... just use the right anolog stick... if you don't have a controler, there may be some way to do it (i'm not sure)

:o WHAT, that's one of the things that trully kick ass in the game. it's awsome... (much like the gameplay)

I'm not sure that "-franchise blows" needs any explanation. I think everyone knows that franchise mode for this game is pretty bunk. NBA Store is a neat idea, but unless you are a shoe junky, its not all that great. I would say NBA Store is a toss in that if they didn't put it in, nobody would be whining about it not being there though so I'll take it as a bonus. EA Managed to also recycle some really bad cyberfaces that were really bad last year lol.

Other than the franchise, I think most of the other issues are small issues that can be fixed with the sliders or better defense. It's definately the most solid basketball game I have played to date, but it's kind of dissapointing still that EA has taken so many steps back to get this good leap forward. I was thinking that the advantage of publishing a bunch of sports titles under an encompassing outfit such as EA Sports would lead to more sharing of ideas and features amongst the development teams, but it is business and I don't guess Tiburon would be happy to give away code and design elements for their Franchise mode to the other EA development teams for free, so each team is at least a year behind in putting in the great elements like sliders and expanded franchise features.
