NBA Live 2004 too slow...

Hey guys, I play Live on my laptop with the following specs.
HP dv5t Centrino2 Technology
P8400 2.24GHz Core 2 Duo
3.00gb RAM
nVidia 9600m GT Dedicated 512MB
250gb SATA HDD
Windows Vista SP1
I'm pretty sure my rig is good enough to run the game. But it just lags all the time...any suggestions?
