No Names on Jerseys

I'm running the game with the default detail settings. None of the players on the court have their names on their jerseys. When they show instant replays or cutscenes the names are their but during the game they are not. They just have AAAAAAA on their backs.

Anyone else having this problem :?:

I haven't tried raising the detail settings. I've only had the game a couple of hours.

Well I don't have this problem. But that sounds pretty weird....
Post a screenshot.

hmmm.... do you guys have an old videocard perhaps?
Do you have the latest video drivers and dx9 installed?

I had the same problem. I tried lowering the settings, and it says names on the jerseys, but they're the WRONG names. LeBron James has "Tinsley" on the back of his Jersey and Garnett had "O'Neal" Again, it's normal in replays and everything, but I want to get the right names on the jerseys without lowering the settings too much...

Do all of you guys have decent computers? I'm running mine on a laptop. RAM and Processor Speed is good, but its probably the video card thats weak.

I play on a relatively new computer and I don't see this problem.

I suspect this will happen to ppl with old computers and video cards.

Try updating the drivers, installing the Direct X9, and turning down the details settings.

I have DirectX 9 installed (it came with the game). I probably don't have an updated driver though.

How can I find out what kind of video card I have, so I can find a driver?

Start > Run > type in "dxdiag"

It should tell you.... hopefully :wink:

your video card is not good enough, that is the problem. i had the problem with 2003, then i got GeForce 4 FX 5200 and everything was perfect. :wink:

Damn...I'm playing mine on a laptop, so I obviously can't change the video card. I could get a new video card for my desktop, but it still has an outdated processor speed (800 mhz)...

EDIT: I turned my Player Details to High and I got the names correctly instead of AAAAAAAAAAAA

I had no numbers on my jerseys. I turned the lighting off and they are now there. Maybe that will work for the names.

Yeah, guys, the problem is with the lighting. I played around with the settings, and as long as the lighting is off, the real names will appear. I turned the textures up to High and the lighting off, and it works just fine.

Yep...it was the lighting!

Thanks for the help. Now I don't have to rush out and buy a new graphics card.
